Legacy Golf Club
Played On 12/01/2021The Highlands Golf Course
Played On 08/01/2020Like a broken drum; you can't beat it...
Fist time to play "Highlands" in a couple years.. Since the last time I played the course the sand and traps have been renovated and filled with fresh white sand, Overall the course was in very good and playable shape... A few of the greens had some margional around the aprons but the putting surfaces were in good shape and rolled true..
Heritage Harbour Golf Club
Played On 12/13/2018Can't wait to go again
Fun day on a fun course to play. Paired with a couple great guys. The course is starting to show signs of winter conditions; but still very playable.
Serenoa Golf Club
Played On 11/21/2016Fun place to play
Drought is starting to take its hold and the brown winter time spots are starting to show; but still a fun place to play... Greens in good shape and roll ture; but watch for the "grain"
10 & 19 at University Park Country Club
Played On 12/02/2015Great tract
If ever in the Sarasota area and looking for a super tract I highly recommend University Park CC for golf. I'm a 70 year old "Lefty" with a 20.6 handicap from the "Whites" and found UPCC to be challenging but not overwhelming in the least....shot a 96 in 4hr - 5 min.
Bent Tree Country Club
Played On 11/30/2015Great tract
Luv Bent Tree...try to play it every time I'm in Sarasota. The course is undergoing some major home development construction. When finished I'm sure Bent Tree will be back to it's wonderful self... The greens are in great shape...only drawback was the construction project.
Sarasota National Golf Club
Played On 08/16/2015Most enjoyable
Wide forgiving fairways but approach shots are a challenge for less than a straight or control golfer. Really enjoyed this tract.
English Turn Golf & Country Club
Played On 07/06/2015This is what
All golf courses should be held to the standards of English Turn. The day I played the course was "Cartpath only" due to the torrential downpour of 1.75 inches of rain previous night. Amazingly the coarse drained very well and was very playable .Risk and reward for all skill levels can be found at English Turn. I rate English Turn aa 9.5 out of 10.
Shreveport Country Club
Played On 05/10/2015Affordable golf and fun times
I very much enjoy playing this tract, The variation between hole requires you to think, which is attractive to me.

Great layout and can't wait to play it again. Starting to show its age and could use a face lift but still ranks high on my list of fun places to golf.
Crooked Hollow Golf Club
Played On 12/2/2013Course offers something for everyone regardless of handicap
Course offer something for everyone regardless of handicap. Although "Ol man winter" or "Jack Frost" has bitten the greens, the greens still roll true. Very enjoyable course to play and without a doubt the best cheeseburger in the land is at the club house.

Timberlane Golf & Recreation
Played On 11/30/2013Something for everyone
In its "Hey Day" I sure it was an awesome sight to see but the years and hurricanes have not been kind to Timberlane CC's golf course. The bones are still there and strong; but the rest of her could use a facelift.
I enjoyed playing Timberlane and would play it again in the spring or summer just to see if it is in better condition.
Misty Creek Country Club
Played On 10/29/2013Not your average Florida golf course
Breathtaking surroundings filled with wildlife with a wonderful golf course built right in the middle of it all. I played Misty Creek 3 times and each time has been more enjoyable than the last. I highly recommend this course regardless of your golfing skill set; because there is something for everyone.

Olde Oaks Golf Club - Meadow/Oak
Played On 9/6/2013A fare amount for a fair round of golf
Very much enjoy the layout of this course but it is in dire need of attention from a greens keeper. Understand there is new ownership; maybe this will be the key to taking what is now a so-so golf course and turning it into a special place for cow pasture pool.

The Challenge At Cypress Hills
Played On 7/13/2013Great value
This is the 4th time I have played this course in the past year and each time I am more impressed than the last with the greens. The rough is "Ruff"; but if you keep it in the maintained fairways it is a very enjoyable place to play.
Carved out of the wilderness in the East Texas pines make each hole a pleasant sight. There are enough "Risk / Reward" hole to challenge every skill level. I'm a 68 year old 18 handicapper and bogy golf from the white tees is the norm for me. I recommend this course to anyone who truly enjoys the game of golf.
Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans - Championship Course
Played On 7/4/2013Really enjoyed playing this course
There was an ample number of "Risk / Reward" shots to keep me on my toes. The fairways were not the best; but what is this time of year. The majority of the greens rolled true with very few flaws. Can't wait until I'm back in New Orleans to take another stab at getting a few more rewards for my risk taking now that I've seen the course and what it has to offer.

Querbes Park Golf Course
Played On 6/7/2013For a "Muni" course it's above par
Very enjoyable course for an average golfer. Plenty risk and reward shots to keep you focused; yet the penalty shots don't ruin your day. Not a long course but a wonderful course for <250 yard hitters. Does have one almost 600 par 5. Greens roll true.
The River Club
Played On 11/1/2012Beautiful layout winding through a mixture of native marsh and Live Oak trees.
During the past year I've played here 4 times and each time I've found the course to be different due to the seasonal changes. The dry season in setting in and the greens are starting to show it. The fairways are lush and green but will be drying in the near future.
The Preserve Golf Club
Played On 10/28/2012This course has a good mixture of water, sand, trees to challenge any golfer.
I found the course easy to play if you keep your ball in the fairway. The rough can be ruff on your game if you are inclined to hit wayward shots. I'm an 67 yoa lefty with an 18 handicap from the white tees. The three time I've played this course my scores have been 93, 91 and 89.
Thank you very much, I hope you can come back and play on a day that is not so wet.
Look forward to seeing you in New Orleans again!
