Had a nice round! Play was slow which is typical of this course and got off a little behind pace which is also typical. Only complaint is the driving range had virtually no grass because they had not moved the ropes. There was plenty of available grass but the designated area had been used for so long that the grass was destroyed. Seems to me the grass would recover more quickly if it wasn't pounded to nothing!

One the front there are three par threes. On the first 2 there were 3 groups and when we got to the third there were 4 groups and a 5th had just cleared the green. I called the clubhouse and they had their reasons and were on top of it whatever that meant??? The back pace improved and we did finish right at dark with a 1:15 start. Nice course and a fun layout with a lot of contour protecting the greens. Other than the one hiccup I enjoyed my experience and look forward to playing there again.

Generous landing areas for marginal players. Greens rolled great with a lot of contour. Starters seemed a little disorganized. Rate was reasonable for this time of year! Enjoyed my round!

I booked my tee time at a great price for a must play course in the Phoenix area! I will definitely be back!

Played with a nice couple from Calgary and a guy who played on the mini tour and has done some caddying. We had a great round on a gorgeous day. The young guy and I(62) played about 6700 yards. This course is in very good shape as long as you keep the ball in play. There are no level lies and some very challenging holes including a 240 yd par 3 and a 585 yd par 5 from our tees. Fairways and greens were excellent but if you were off a little you were in poor ground with rocks! Booked online for an excellent twilight rate and easily finished before dark. I play to a 6 and shot 37 on the back so life is good! Papago is a very good value and I certainly will book again.

This course has a country club atmosphere. The course was in excellent shape with generous landing areas in the fairways. There is not a lot of elevation change on this course but it is a very nice place to play a round and I would recommend this course as a stop if you are in Scottsdale.

I enjoyed my round at Starfire. My rate booked online was an excellent value for Scottsdale golf. The, fairways and greens were in very nice shape. I was a single and joined a couple of guys from Vancouver and we had a relaxing round. The greens were a little slow because of the morning dew but were rolling real nice once the sun dried them out. Although it is not that long the course it is fairly tight. The par five's are birdie opportunities but the par threes were fairly long with one playing at 220 with a back pin. I would not hesitate to book another tee time at this course and found it to be a very good value with my online booking.
