Tempest Golf Club

Course is not up to par, slowly going downhill last couple years. Its early Feb. so still recovering from harsh winter. Most tee boxes were just reseeded, sign of good things. Not sure fairways will get back to its glory days, Still one of the best tracks in the area

Enjoy this course, play 1-2 a month. Problem is the lack of food/cart person. My son went in to get food upon arriving at course, was told a food cart would be out. They never showed, also the TURN ( which is miles from Clubhouse) has a grill, however its seldom open.

Needs major reseeding, minimal grass in fairways. Greens were decent, should be ok once spring hits.

Very tight course,with many blind shots
Highly recommend moving up 1 tee box
Signage is Very lacking and cart paths intersect sometimes putting you in path of other’s teeing off
I was lucky the course was empty when I played, so it was less of a problem
Overall I enjoyed the challenge

Winter is beautiful, snowing on mainland US here its 75degrees everyday w some rainfall
Course is a little rough shape, greens mostly good
As far as tropical golf goes it is a good value

very challenging day because of wind, toughest 4( par 3s) of any course I’ve played , had to hit driver on one that measured 200 yards but played straight into the wind over water and waste area

Golf Now said there are carts NO CARTS
Mentioned to starter after round, that I thought it would be helpful if they mowed a path thru rough and path between holes for walkers. Rough is quite long in areas, OK for degree of difficulty but hard and messy to walk thru. Enjoyed all the spring time baby geese
Los Lagos at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club

Played both courses, Opener on Wednesday Los Lagos and Friday Mesa Linda. Overall it was great. After a closure for Covid 19 the course was in good shape, longer than normal rough (they were slow cleaning up clippings) so it was easy to lose a ball in the rough. Friday seemed a bit better.

We apologize that the course hasn't met your expectations recently but appreciate your understanding of the post-winter recovery phase. Thank you for acknowledging our efforts to improve and for considering us one of the best in the area! We have begun our spring repairs which will include sodding several areas damaged this winter and invested heavily in a new chemical program to increase turf quality. We brought in one of the top superintendents in Texas who we believe will capitulate Tempest to the next level of premium courses in Texas. Come back and see us soon.
