This course has sand traps all over the course, and at least 2 around the greens.
This would be fine, but there is hardly any sand in them, so it's very hard to get a club under them to pop them on the green.
The yardage markers are hard to find,, just a small disc in the ground, which slows play. Unfortunately we forgot our gps, really could have used it.
The pace of play was average 4.5 hrs.

This is one of my favorite courses in the Phoenix area. The whole course is in great shape (including the rough). The greens are a test but role true. We played the round in 4 hrs 20 minutes.

We booked our tee time for 1:08pm which included range balls. We got to the course 1 hr early to warm and hit some balls. We got there and found out the driving range closes on Thursdays from 12 - 1pm for maintenance. We checked in and headed out on time. The pace was quiet slow, we waited on every shot, then we arrived at hole 15 at about 4:40pm and the GPS on the cart notified us that we had to turn the cart in by 5pm. Nothing was mention about this at checkin or when we got our cart. We asked if we could walk the last 3 holes because there was still at least 40 minutes of daylight and they told us we couldn't and said that's why the rates go down after 1pm. They did not care one bit that we didn't finish.
This policy should be stated on the site when bookings are made so people don't find out like us and leaving with a bad experience.
The course is in nice shape, only play it if you can tee off by noon or you may not finish!
