Reflections on Reflection Bay

A round of golf at Reflection Bay will leave you with a smile on your face and warm heart. The course layout is amazing. Several holes are right along Lake Las Vegas with beautiful views of the surrounding area. Several holes are laid out in front of you so the rest is up to you. The condition of the course was outstanding. The greens were a little dry but still rolling fast. The pace of play was perfect and so was the weather. Remember your sunscreen and camera when you play your round at Reflection Bay.

Chimera continues to shine!

Chimera continues to set the bar for exceptational golf in the Las Vegas valley. The staff is the most welcoming in all of Las Vegas and the course conditions are ideal despite the brutal heat and lack of rain for the last few months. The course continues to roll with the times and golfers will find delight with the always beautiful contours and the gentle give and takes of the green slope. If you have not played Chimera yet, put it on your list. Its guaranteed to bring joy in 2020.

Whirlwind of a great time

My friends and I were in Phoenix area for a weekend vacation. Whirwind Cattails golf course was a great find on golfnow. Everything from the restaurant on-site to the driving range to the course conditions were awesome! Very friendly staff and very good pace of play. The course layout is beautiful and very scenic. The carts have GPS and range balls are included. The practice facility is outstanding. I can not say enough about the staff. Mike in the pro shop was very welcoming and the starters were equally as nice. Thank you Whirlwind for a relaxing and exciting golf experience in Phoenix!

A bygone era of golf to be re-discovered

Orchard Hills is a golf course to get excited about playing! It's a journey back in time when golf, like life, was a lot less confusing and fast paced. Orchard Hills has three 9-hole courses. I played the Orchard and Rock Garden courses. The layout of the two courses is outstanding. The tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, rough everything scream old school golf at each twist and turn. What I found so magical about Orchard Hills was the staff and the golfers alike. Some of the friendliest people I have ever met on a golf course and Southern hospitality all around. Mark Twain once said golf is a good walk spoiled but a day spent at Orchard Hills might change his mind. Do yourself a favor and visit this beautiful, historic place and enjoy a piece of bygone golf.

Diamond in North Florida

Words can not describe the excitement I had while playing this course. The overall conditions were awesome, the staff was very friendly and the course layout of truly stunning. The Sunday I played they had reached an attendance record but you never would have known by how well the course kept up. There was a starter and marshall the day I played and both were very pleasant. The beauty of the course is what really stuck with me after the round. Everything from the cart path to the greens are laid out so natural. The King made one heck of a diamond in North Florida to be enjoyed by all! Thank you to all at the Golf Club at North Hampton for a truly beautiful day. Can't wait to play the course again.

Great course for a round any day of the week!

This was my first time playing Oak Mountain but it won't be the last. What a great time on a course I've never played! The course has an excellent mix of wide and narrow fairways. The slopes and water features leave a good test on some holes as well. The overall condition of the course was excellent. The greens were perfect. I really enjoyed the layout of the course. Kudos to the ground crew for an awesome job with the bunkers. Some of the nicest sand I have seen in a long time (wish I could avoid bunkers more). The staff in the pro shop was very welcoming and offered some local tips. Although I did not use them, the course had a driving range and chipping area as we as putting green. All seemed to be in great shape. Overall first impressions were great and I look forward to playing this course again soon!

Great course, great location for out of town trip

I was planning an out of town golf trip for a few months. I found Cummings Cove on golfnow.com and viewed the course's website as well. I was hooked from the start! Al in the pro shop greeted my friend and I with a warm welcome and a smile! Al took a few minutes to walk us through the course on the scorecard, pointing out little tips for each hole. We then proceeded to the pratice putting green and awaited our tee time. The starter even called our name to annouce the first tee was ready for us! Standing on the first tee I began to get excited at what promised to be a great round of golf at a great course! The first thing I noticed about the course was how clean and beautiful it was maintained. Everything from the tee boxes, yardage markers and signage was in very good, detailed shape. The fairways and rough were in excellent condition. The greens were remarkable and rolled very fast and true. The golf carts featured GPS which was a plus and we used it on almost every shot. The front nine is narrow and the back nine is more open. Nevertheless, I used my driver off the tee only 3 times during the round. The par 3's are tough, no way around it. The par 5's are just plain fun and long! It was my first time playing a mountain course but it will not be my last. Cummings Cove is a beaituful mixture of nature and man made golf playground. I found every hole enjoyable and the views of the mountains were truly breathtaking. My friend and I really enjoyed the peaceful layout and overall conditions of the course. I would recommend if your tee time is before 11AM you eat before arrving at the course as the restraunt did not open until after our tee time. Coffee was free which was a nice treat. My friend and I talked about our day at Cummings Cove during the entire drive back to Atlanta. It was a very positive conversation to say the least. Thank you again to Al and we can't wait to go back to Cummings Cove for another round of peaceful, beautiful mountain golf!

Course needs work

I was visiting from out of town and brought my own clubs with me. I was looking for an affordable and fun place to play. Directions on the GPS were incorrect, clubhouse was hard to find from main road. Pro shop was small, gentlemen behind the counter was not very welcoming. The front nine is in bad shape, greens are fast but need work. Pace of play was slow, no marshals to speed play along. Front nine is narrow, watch out for balls from several tee boxes while playing, almost hit twice. The course does have a lot of slopes and the back nine was more enjoyable. Signage for the holes is small and directions on back nine need to be improved. Number 17 and 18 play along a walking/running path, two people ran past me while I was on the tee box, no signage to alert them to wait. Overall, for the price I paid and the condition of the course, I would not recommend the course if you are from out of town looking for your money's worth.
