This is a must to play, fairways , greens and tees are all in great shape. There are a couple of greens with a few patchy spots but nothing to be concerned about. Has a nice layout with sloping greens and almost perfect fairways.You have to play the TIPS on the 669 yard par 5 fourth hole, up hill and into the wind when we played. However if you don't play the tips then how can you say that you've played the longest hole in the state of Florida? The rest of the facility is absolutely wonderful with shops and eateries as well as the clubhouse (great food). We travelled 1 1/2 hours to play here and would do it again, one of the best kept courses we have played in the four months that we have been in Florida. Over all I gave it a 4 star, it's hard to give anything a 5 after playing Pebble Beach a few years back. Go play this one and I promise you'll not be disappointed.

The greens have lots of grass and slope, but they are a little slow. Now for the rest of the course , absolutely awful can't find any grass in most places and the tees, fairways and around the greens are full of crane holes. I mean you could twist or break an ankle there are so many, the course has a nice layout but the maintenance is non existent though I did see a shovel stuck in the ground on #9 ( no worker ). You have to roll the ball because of the holes and lack of turf. The funny thing is that I only saw 2 cranes with 2 youngsters so when they grow up there will be twice as many and they will need a sinkhole repair man due to the lack of attention paid to this problem. How anyone could rate this 3,4, or 5 stars is beyond me, I gave it a 2 just for the greens. The layout I would give a 3 1/2 but the condition 0-1.

Greens are full of grass and the course has a nice layout, though they are a little slow. The yardage markers are not even close compared to my range finder. Beware of crane holes they are everywhere, around the tees, greens and fairways. I mean you could twist or break an ankle , they are so plentiful you have a hard time in a lot of areas just trying to find a spot to place your ball. All in all this could be a nice place to play but right now I don't know how anybody could rate this at 3,4,or 5 stars. I gave it a 1 just because of the greens and no other reason. Very disappointed even for the great price on golf-now (13 bucks) . I do not recommend this course at this time-----did I mention the lack of grass and holes in there fairways---- in need of help.

Course has a great layout, greens are different speeds due to the fact some are newer than others. There are some bad ones with patchy spots. All in all we enjoyed the course and would play it again.A real good challenge from the tips, forced carriers and a must on hitting it straight.

I love the layout of this course, each hole seems to have something different. The par 3's are really a nice challenge. The par 5 18th hole is a great finishing hole or press hole if your into the friendly money game. Now the greens are somewhat patchy but they are playable, if they fill in everybody will be going there day after day. Don't let the patchy greens keep you away, I know when I read some of the reviews the greens being in bad shape scare me and I stay away but these are not all that bad. Fairways are in good shape and the rough is rough as in most the courses around Florida with little money to spend. All in all I really liked this course and will go give it another try......get the golf-now deal for under 20 dollars and it will be well worth it----fun course

This is a must play, the fairways are very nice and the greens are very sloped and fast---no gimmes here. I did not play the tips at 7333 yrs and I'am glad I didn't. The pin placements can be very difficult no matter where they put them.We played at 2 pm as a twosome and ran into 2 foursomes , one on #3 and the other on #13 who let us play right threw (thanks guys) it took us 3 hrs to play , what a pleasure. This course will humble you in more ways than one, gives you some idea of how good the pro's really are. Give this one a go you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. ps--just have fun and enjoy it and GOOD LUCK.

We started in the fog and couldn't even see the first couple of fairways at 7:37. The fog left by the time we got to 3 tee and the fun began. Ever hole has it's own look that is unlike the one before which makes this course a complete pleasure to play. Some of the tee shots are quite demanding while other have lots of room , bunkers can be a penalty because of the depth of some of them, O......the fun really begins when you get to the greens, get above the hole on a lot of them and GOOD LUCK. They are some of the most contoured greens I have played around Florida and WOW were they fun. As with every course there are some rough spots if you want to dwell on them but there are far more good things here and very little to complain about. I would go back here in a blink of an eye and we travelled 1 1/2 hours to get there and was worth every minute. DID I MENTION THE GREENS WERE FAST AND CHALLENGING....enjoy this one..... the burgers and beer are really something... also I never rate anything a 5 star after playing pebble beach in 93 so 4 is not bad.

Fairways need some work, but the greens are as good as you get. They roll very nice and true. The rest of the course however needs help , as far as the fairways they need to be cleared of the many oak leafs and the bunkers are in need of some edging but the sand is very consistent. Over all the front nine goes back and forth but the back nine is a much better layout. Don't get me wrong this course is surely worth the visit. I played from the tips with more concern on hitting it straight than long. I will go back and lay again........did I mention the greens were excellent----give it a try

This is one of the best lay-outs as well as being just a beautiful walk or ride through nature. Some areas of the course could use a little help , but all in all you will NOT be disappointed with this place. Rolling fairways as well as the greens and many spots to tuck the pins made this one of our best places to play. I can't wait to go back.....don't just pick at the small things that bothered you but look at the whole picture and you should be .....o you will be impressed . I and my foursome had nothing less than a great day.

The fairways are tight and missing some grass, I hate having to lay up off the tee on par 5's but you have no choice. The greens are all elevated , fast and in great shape,the lay out is quite interesting but you may want to bring few extra balls with you. Not much grass around the greens which makes it very hard to get under you ball for a pitch shot that needs to get in the air because of the elevated greens.All in all I woud go back with a different game plan next time.NÔW on a more serious note....I know there is someone out there that is not very Honest and should fess up to his or her mistake , you reap what you sow and there fore it will come back to you TEN fold.Stand up and be a MAN or WOMAN , why should I have to suffer or pay for your bad driving skills.If anyone out there can help me find out who hit my car with there car I would truly be greatful. I have a white Honda accord that I think was struck by a black car or truck on Saturday Jan 25 in the parking lot of the Claw golf club and I know that they were probably not alone or that someone might have seen this. No one would like this to happen to them I'am sure of that.....come on people it's your mistake act like someone that has responsibility instead of a child.You can call the Claw pro shop with any information they have my name and number.....Thanks for standing up and being an adult.

The greens were in good shape other than a few, speed is good and have some very large and contoured slopes. THe tee boxes are in very poor shape as well as the rough and around most of the greens. A lot of bare lies and some roots. It is however quite a challenge from the blue tees as well as the red,having to position the ball in the right spot. WAter comes into to play on almost ever hole when you play the gator.It has 3 nine hole courses and though I didn't get to play the one 9 the gator and panther were a good test of golf.I would go back and try it again , just wish they would spend a little more money on the condition of the grass and lack of.I play a 2 handicap and tami plays a 12 and believe us it will challenge your game.......have fun and keep up the reviews it helps when your from out of town or country as we are......thanks

was in poor shape , no grass in any area except the greens which were like shag carpet.....just a waste of time. I agree with former review what is tis doing on golf-now...never again......take your 7 or 9 dollars and go to MacDonald's you'll enjoy it more..

I would surely play this one again and again,we played it twice in a twosome and a foursome and play was quick.Beautiful large and fast greens,and the sites are very nice.Front nine is around beautiful homes while the back nine is cut through the woods and giant oaks.Put this one on your list you will not be disappointed.

Some very interresting holes and rolling greens but they where a little slow for our liking do to overseeding for the winter months.But don't let that stop you from playing here it is one of the nicest courses in the area and a pleasure to play.We played it and then book a time for the next day and played again.This course will be challenging as well as a joy to play.Bring your game to this one.

Stay away from this one.This has to be one of the worst courses I have ever played and I only played nine holes and asked for my money back, which was a first for us.Course was in very poor shape-greens-tees-fairways-bunkers,we will NEVER go back to this one and I mean NEVER

As you go through the front nine you will be pleasantly surpised with the layout of holes.Then as you enter the back nine you will (I promise ) be stunned at the difference.Without giving to much info away,it's absolutely beautiful.Play this one and see for yourself.Some very interesting shots will be called for (good luck).
