St. Ives Golf Club
Played On 05/31/2020Prepare all the clubs in your bag
I traveled up to St. Ives on a short getaway. The course challenges you to use every club in your bag as a lot of the tee shots have doglegs or fairways that run out. I played from the back tees and found myself using my driver once in the first five holes. The course will be challenging if you cannot keep it in the fairway as there is plenty of trees to get in your way. The finishing five holes are the toughest on the course and require accuracy as water comes into play on all but 18. I would play this course many times over and plan on returning to St. Ives.
Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course
Played On 05/01/2018Great Florida Golf
Bay Point Nicklaus has a handful of challenging holes. The course needs to be played strategically to score well. From the back tees it is 7100 yards but did not feel like it played that long. The fairways are very accommodating and it can be difficult to miss the fairway on some holes. I wish the back nine was as challenging as the front. The course can be difficult over the first 7 holes. I would go back to play many times as it is the best course in PCB.
