Santee National Golf Club
Played On 01/05/2021Golf at it's FINEST
Let me start off by saying that I've been playing this course for many years. No matter what time of year I drive up from Summerville South Carolina oh, it's always in great shape. I played a couple of weeks ago and there was a blower machine clearing the leaves off of the Fairway. Now that's what I call customer service. Fairways are always green and the greens are always rolling true. It's always a bargain booking it through GolfNow. Do yourself a favor and wherever you are make the trip to Santee National oh, you'll be glad you did.
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes
Played On 10/01/2020Challenging, but a fair challenge
I drove to Hilton Head area to play this course and I wasn't disappointed. The fairways are manicured and the greens were receptive and rolled well. It was quote a long round only because it was "cart path only" from the rain in the previous days. But...what are ya' gonna do when God makes rain. The staff at the snack window (at the turn) were very pleasant. I ordered a Reuben Sandwich that was one of the best I've had in SC, being a NY transplant for the past 25 years. Enjoy this course but be wise with you teeshots. There is trouble in many spots. Use your 3W when it's called for and you'll be fine. Be the ball.
We're happy you consider The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes well worth the drive!
The Players Course at Wyboo
Played On 09/15/2020What a great track
I live an hour away but this course is worth the drive. Fairways are in perfect condition and greens roll well too. Paid $30 to play this course on a Tuesday which is well worth it.
Lake Marion Golf Course
Played On 09/08/2020What happened here?
I have been playing this course for many years, but it has been at least one year since my last visit. Let me start out by saying that I've always enjoyed the layout of this course. If you know where to hit the ball and where not to hit it, you can post a decent score. The greens were very patchy and very inconsistent for putting. It was quite frustrating. On top of that, the rough was recently cut with the grass clippings left inn place making it impossible to find a ball if I didn't hit the fairway. The fairway was not closely cut, so "pinching" the ball to create some spin was a bit difficult. I sure hope that the course improves because as I said, I really like this track. Santee National right down the road is a much better option right now as the course conditions are quite fantastic.
Holly Hill Golf Club
Played On 08/06/2020Good value for the money
This is not the first time I played this course, but it's been a while. For a "country course" it's worth the money. The fairways are not great but they are playable. Greens are extremely slow but you will get used to it. It's been well over a year since I've played Holly Hill and I can tell they are trying to make it better. Great if you just want to go out and hit the ball around and a great course to bring the kids. The course doesn't play very long so bombs away. Just be careful not to block yourself out, especially on #2.
The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island
Played On 09/13/2019Fantastic S.C. Course
I decided to take a one hour and forty minute drive from Summerville today. I have heard for the longest time about The Legends Course. I'm very glad that I made the trip. The course was busy, but the pace of play was steady. The fairways at Legend are absolutely perfect. The greens have no blemishes at all, although the STIMP was about 10.5 on all the greens. Youch. The course is very fair but very challenging. Think before you tee it up as there is sand and water most everywhere. Make sure you put the ball in the fairway because the rough is quite unforgiving. Its not impossible to get out of the rough, but your ball may be about two inches deep. In addition, it's very rare that I play a golf course that is not lined with homes along the fairways. There are no homes to be seen, just nature. Wonderful and glorious nature. It's very refreshing. Wherever you live, make the drive to Paris Island, SC. They "Make Marines" here and a GEM of a course. Cheers.
Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
Played On 09/12/2019Always playable
Wescott is my "go-to" course. It's always in good shape and the staff is very helpful. The fairways are in great shape and the greens roll true (but tricky sometimes). You won't be disappointed
Legend Oaks Golf Club
Played On 07/29/2015Always a good time
This course is always a challenge but it's very fair. Watch your shot placement on the approach. Consider hitting a lesser club than DRIVER on #1 or get WET. Fairways are in great shape and greens are good, but slow because of the heat (prob not cut short because of this hot weather). Good luck.
Wow, we are so happy you enjoyed your round! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
