Nice but tight

Just played this course for the first time. Highly recommended by some friends. It’s a decent track but quite skinny in places, and many of the holes require a hefty carry over desert bushes. The back nine is more fun (and challenging) than the front. Nothing particularly wrong with the course, but it’s a bit overpriced in comparison to some of the other equally nice courses in the area, like Dove Valley Ranch or Rancho Manana.

Fun track

A very nice resort-style course with a number of fun holes. Greens can be very tricky as they are usually very fast. This last time we played they were much slower - some of the members had been complaining about the greens being too fast, so maybe a change has been made. Regardless, this is a fun track to play, it’s one of 3 in the private Pebble Creek community so it doesn’t always show up on GolfNow. When it does, its well worth playing.

Fun track

This is a nice course with some fun holes. Staff are super friendly and the course is very well tended. It’s one of three courses in the private Pebble Creek community so it doesn’t always show up on GolfNow, but it’s well worth playing if you get a chance. A tired old course

First time playing this track, and you could tell that at one time this must have been a nice course and a very nice golf resort. Sadly, not anymore. We played it in early September and it was in rough shape. It’s also a very tight course, where holes are packed closely together so you need to be wary of stray shots from other holes in some cases.

Worth the wait!

Had looked at this course for a few years but could never find a price I was willing to pay. Finally got a good deal on GolfNow, and has a great time. A very nice desert-style course, with many interesting holes and it was in great condition, even though we played in early September.

Underrated gem

A very fun track to play with lots of variety and almost always in good shape. My wife and I play it whenever we’re in town, the various tees allow a fair challenge for a wide variety of skill levels. Can usually get a pretty good rate on GolfNow.

Fun track but beware the bunkers!

Used to be called Maryvale and was pretty “used up” and low end. Since the university took over they’ve significantly upgraded the course - it’s much more fun to play, and in much better shape. But they seem to have added 4-5 extra bunkers per hole, so sand is a risk on almost every hole. This is one of my wife’s favourites now so we play it every time we’re in town.

Very forgiving

Decent layout, with very friendly staff. Course is not spectacular but has a few interesting holes, and is generally very forgiving. Pricing is good but you can’t always find it on GolfNow as it’s actually one of three courses in the private Pebble Creek community.

Good value for the money

A nice but unspectacular desert course. Generally in good condition and staff are friendly. You can play for a very reasonable price, in comparison to many Phoenix area courses, probably because it’s a bit of a drive to get there. Well worth playing, especially if you get a decent price.

Very nice track

Played just after overseeing so conditions were ok but not great. Nonetheless we had a great time. The course is nicely laid out with lots of variety and interesting (and very pretty) holes. It's a desert course so lots of opportunity to get in trouble if you miss the fairway. Staff are extremely friendly, and the pace of play was great given it was not yet prime season. Two of us did the course in just over three hours and we were taking our time. Highly recommend this course - we've never had a bad experience here.

One of our favorites

Tremendous desert course. Wonderful layout with numerous interesting and picture-worthy holes. They had just completed over seeding when we played, so conditions were not perfect and the greens in particular were quite slow and a bit shaggy. Nonetheless we had a great time on a beautiful course. Staff were very friendly and we were paired up with a couple of very nice young locals. Pace was ok - about 4:20 to finish. You can usually find a good deal for Las Sendas on Golfnow, so the course is great value.

run of the mill, but no complaints

Played on a Thursday afternoon in mid-October. Course was in decent shape and staff were reasonably friendly. Nothing to complain about - course was ok, pace of play was fine, and we had an enjoyable afternoon. We were simply a bit surprised that the course was frankly quite ordinary. Other Nicklaus linked courses we've played have been quite notable and usually very interesting challenges - this course was ok but nothing more. Again, no complaints and you can have a nice round here but don't be fooled into expecting more from the "Bear" linkage.

Spectacular course - worth every penny

Second time we've played Outlook Mt. We had forgotten how beautiful the course is. Conditions were excellent and the greens were very quick but ran true. Staff were super friendly as well. Got paired up with a very nice couple from Canada and had a wonderful time. Make sure you play the proper tees as the course has some blind spots which can prove very punishing if you're playing the wrong tees.

Lives up to its reputation

Played the Legacy on a holiday Monday in early October, after reading numerous positive reviews and having it recommended by various friends. It did not disappoint. The course was in tremendous condition despite the time of year. Great track - gorgeous surroundings with lots of interesting and well constructed holes. Greens were extremely fast but ran true. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. A great day all around, and we will definitely be back.

A tale of two nines

A weird experience. Course was well maintained, but tough to really enjoy. We played the Squire and the King nines on a Sunday afternoon. Pace of play was good, but did not enjoy the Squire - it is extremely short, without much in the way of interesting holes. Almost like a glorified executive track. Just kind of blah - but in decent shape. The King is a much more interesting track - more traditional length and some nice holes. More of a true golf experience. But the course is set up in a strange way where from green to the next tee is an adventure of winding thru residential areas, often for several minutes of cart driving time. At least twice we lost our way and once actually had to ask folks out in their yard which way to go. Very odd, and took away from what otherwise would have been an enjoyable back nine. Overall it's not a horrible experience, but there are so many better options out there.

Well worth the drive

This course is a bit of a hike - a good 45+ minutes from Phoenix, and well over an hour from Mesa where we were staying. But well worth the drive. Gorgeous layout with lots of variety, lots of water, and in terrific shape. Greens were tough but ran true. Staff were very friendly. A very enjoyable round.

Good value but beware the range!

Not a bad track - some decent variation and the course was in good shape for early October. Greens were slightly slow but nothing unreasonable, and they ran true. Got a great deal on green fees, so would play this course any time for that rate. Only problem, and it's not insignificant, is how they've crammed a driving range in between holes. We were literally dodging stray balls from the driving range on three separate holes - including having one ball land on the first green while we were putting. That's just plain irresponsible - put up some netting for crying out loud.....

Inexpensive round but that's all I can say

Staff were friendly, and the round was cheap. But the greens were poor - incredibly slow so you felt you were more pounding the ball toward the hole rather than actually putting. We played it as our first round of our trip - that's probably the only way I would suggest playing this course - as a warm up round.
