27 Nov 2021. I was really hoping to like this course. This was the first time I visited.

Pro shop seemed well stocked. I booked via iPhone app and they had my reservation well enough. Agnostic to their service; not the nicest of people.

The starter was a jerk: I pulled up to the first tee and he made a negative comment to current group under his breath about “a single pulling up alone.” Of course I heard him — he balked when confronted. Maybe I was new to the ‘system,’ but doesn’t excuse his behavior. Bad start.

Course was interesting and I enjoyed the layout.

Range was in very bad shape — hitting surface wise.

Greens were enjoyable.

Easy access from the main road.

The one shining example of customer service was the young gentleman handling bags and cleaning carts! A pleasure to deal with! Tip him well!

We really enjoyed the front nine layout, pace of play, and greens. However the cart path, as noted by many others, is horrible.

The back 9 wasn’t as enjoyable. It seems disconnected from the front, and not as well maintained.

I think this would be a good walking course. Greens and tees are close together.

I will play again.

Loved the old school — shot maker — golf course. Tight fairways, small greens, and water ready to drown a wayward shot.

Greens in great condition!

Bunkers were actively cared for.

Staff was welcoming.

Super fast play.

Small club house with food, stories, and vibe. Reminded me of a VFW! (I like it)

What else could you ask for? Maybe a range area? But then again, I like that you just show up, stretch, and slap the ball down the fairway. They do have a nice chip and putt green right near the first tee!

Best customer service I have received in a long time!

I had the early tee time at a course I had never visited. Immediately welcomed in the early AM by Dennis the starter/marshal. He welcomed me in the parking lot, gave up the cart he was using, and loaded my clubs!!! We chatted a bit and explained the course I was about to play. At the end of the round I said my thanks — he proceeded to wipe down my clubs as we spoke without any expectation. I believe his is genuinely a nice person that wants people to enjoy their experience. I saw him have these great tailored interactions with a number of people — many appear to be regulars.

Greens were in great shape and rolled true. I enjoyed putting on them.

The fairways were a bit wet from recent rains. But the course layout was an old one and enjoyable. This could be a great walking course! I saw many people doing just that.

Pace of place was moving very fast.

The people I got paired with were amazing! So were the others around us. Absolutely humble group of people.

They appear to have a decent restaurant but I didn’t use it. I heard it is nice. The club office was small with some standard items.

They had a nice practice putting green, but they do not have a range. Plan on some self stretching a loosening up. Come ready to play!!!

I am visiting the area — but, I will make this a go to place when I return to see family. Price to golf to pace make this a value proposition!!!!

Really great course,e with friendly staff. Mike was particularly helpful.

Pace of play was on the slow side — but, the wait was worth it. I enjoyed the layout and conditions.

This course was not in good condition.

Thin and patchy fairways, potted and sand greens, torn tee boxes.

The layout of the course was interesting, and would have been good if the condition was better.

The practice green was non existent. Half was ripped apart and roped off, while the other half was more sand and ant hills than grass. Small driving range off the grass was also present in ok shape.

First time playing the course — I had a great time!

Immediately met by kind people at check in and at the starter station. Very efficient and clear with procedures. I appreciated the free warm up range balls.

As mentioned by other reviewers the course was long on some holes (combo of distance and elevation) — I played white tees. I normally drive 250yds and was glad to make par on some through short pitch/chip and putt. However the fairways were comfortably wide, with traps to punish only the most pushed or pulled shots.

Beautiful holes and maintenance.

Greens were great! And much faster and contoured than I was used to on weaker muni courses. However practice green by clubhouse was fair representation. I recommend a few minutes earlier to take advantage.

Pace of play was perfect! My group (I was single matched with others) didn’t need to wait more that a minute ore two on one or two holes for those ahead of us to clear. This could have been because of individual carts due to protective Covid measures or timing distribution. Whatever it was, it worked very well.
