Arrived early to my tee time but the staff were very accommodating and allowed me to join a threesome. Course for this time of year was in excellent condition. Had a great time!

The course is under construction with many holes with a temporary greens or mis-marked hole numbers. This made yardage check difficult. Many leaves in the fairway. Should have been blown off first thing in the morning. Fairways were in ok but in worse condition than others that I have played recently. Directions to the next hole was negligible. So you were left wandering around searching for the next hole. First and last time I will be playing this course!

Everything about the course was in excellent condition. The only difficulty was walking the terrain. I am 76 years old and some of the hills were quite challenging especially hole 6 played as a par 4. If you are not in good shape, don’t walk! I don’t think I will do that again.

Greens were very fast and sloped so the ball always rolled off no matter how soft you hit it. Fairways also were sloped making a middle of the fairway shot near impossible.one shot was hit purposely on the far left only to see it roll to the far right against the cart path.

I enjoyed the course even though the weather conditions were less than desirable, misty rain and cool.

I have played Tunxis many times and for the most part it has never failed to a quality round of golf.mother staff are very accommodating and friendly and always ready to help when needed. Fairways and greens are in great shape even after all the rain we have had lately.

Booked on line with a cart. When I got there I was told due to the wet conditions, they weren’t allowing carts, so I had to walk the 18 holes. I am 75 yrs old and have had two knee replacements. I was not offered a refund so I had to walk the course. Water standing on fairway and one hole in particular, was completely flooded. It was an additional long walk to go around the standing water. Was somewhat disappointed with the course and the conditions. Golf now did give me $12 back for the cart but I would have rather a rain check or complete reimbursement.

The course itself was in descent shape but the sand traps were in horrible shape., filled with ruts and little sand. I played this course earlier in the year and the fairways and traps were excellent. I believe the heavy rains we had this summer have contributed to the decline in conditions, but it would have take very little to at least rake out the traps to make them playable.

this course is not for beginners. The greens are very fast and takes a good eye to read the breaks. You need to play this course several times to improve your score for many of the fairways have a blind approach. All in all I had a great time .
The only negative was not with the course itself, but with the carts. The first one we took the rear wheel wobbled and wasn't running on all cylinders. our partners cart had a flat tire about halfway thru.

The staff was more than accommodating and the conditions were excellent. The greens were in beautiful shape and fairways groomed. it is always difficult to find your ball during the fall due to leaves and sun glare. The staff has done a terrific job keeping the fairways and ruff clear of leaves. I would highly recommend this course for all levels of play.
