Nice layout

SJO is a challenging hillside course, bunkers need attention but other than that it's a great facility.

Thank you for the review, Rick. We are glad you enjoyed our challenging course and appreciate your feedback on the bunkers. We are currently in the process of repairing them, so hopefully you'll visit us again once they're finished!

Top notch facility

The best public golf facility in the South Bay. Great staff, well maintained, 3 practice greens, grass driving range and 3 challenging 9s. Tee boxes for every level of golfer but not recommended for a beginner, this is a big pro level course.

Best public course in South Bay

I believe this is the best public course in the South Bay. The entire facility is always in great shape. Grass driving range, 3 practice greens, a bunker/chipping area with an adjacent snack bar. Greens are always fast and in great shape. The course is not for a beginner but if you are a fairly accomplished golfer this is great track.

Course is in rough shape

I like Eagle Ridge but the current condition of the course is terrible. 90% of the bunkers are played as "ground under repair" because they are full of weeds and rocks, no sand. The greens were "OK" for the most part but portions of the fairways were in fair to poor condition. The course is difficult enough when its in great shape, very difficult to score on like this. I wouldn't recommend this course right now. I hope they repair it, its a great track when it is pristine shape.

Nice day with punched greens

I've played Coyote Creek's Valley course many times and I like the layout. (The greens had been punched about 2-3 weeks ago and Golfnow doesn't disclose maintenance so that was little bit of a disappointment, however, we did pay a slightly discounted green fee.) Weather was perfect with the winds slowly increasing throughout the day which is typical for this course. Overall a nice day on a fairly challenging course, I would recommend to play this course early in the day, the winds are always a concern down there.

Surprisingly nice

I was surprised by the course conditions. Greens were in excellent shape, fairways and rough were well maintained. It's fairly short, quite few par 3s, but has some challenging holes. We played in 3 hours 45 minutes,

Worth the drive

Eagle Ridge is always in great shape, the staff is nice, greens are very fast and we'll maintained. They are working on some of the bunkers so expect some maintenance issues there. Overall it's a great course that I would recommend to anyone wanting a real challenge. (Not for the beginning golfer, this is a lot of golf course!)

Best value in South Bay

Cinnabar is probably the best public course in the South Bay. Challenging, scenic and always in great shape. Tee times are always on time and the staff is great. (I wouldn't really recommend it for a beginner but if your a reasonably good golfer this place is hard to beat)

Poorly run

Showed up only to find out they had tournaments on both courses, took 2:45 to play front 9, waited up to 15 minutes between shots. Got to the 10th, group on on the green, one in the fairway, one on the tee and one group waiting. Asst. Mngr., Mike, offered to credit us 9 holes and come back... really... I live an hour plus from this place. Disappointed every time I play here so I'm done with B&B. too many nice course to play other than this

Great place to play

If you are in Reno this is worth the drive. The pro shop is small but very nice, excellent course layout, great practice facility, scenic, challenging. Greens were in excellent shape throughout. Small cozy bar for the 19th hole. All in all a great golf day.

Bad timing?

We went out behind a NorCal SoCal tournament, took 1 hour to finish 3 holes, starter said we were only 5 minutes off pace of play?? Group in front of us played rock music in their cart most of the day, obviously drunk, no one says anything, and this is a NorCal tourney? All in all a terrible golf outing.

A true test of your game

Eagle Ridge is one difficult hole after another. It is beautiful, quiet and well maintained but make no mistake , this is a monster track. Play the approptiate tee to have an enjoyable day.

got a great mid-week deal and was impressed by the condition of the course. Greens were awesome. Layout is challenging, especially the 18th hole where you must carry over-around-under a row of trees that hide the green. I've never seen a hole like it in my 30+ years of playing. For that matter, most of the greens are so well bunkered that bump and runs can't be done.
We aren't good golfers but still loved the challenge and managed not to lose but a few balls. Do not try to walk this course unless you do marathons. It is spread way out through a beautiful development and many of the holes are isolated in pretty valleys with no homes around. One of our top tracks in CA so far.

Nice course, can be challenging

We played just days after a weekend of heavy rains so the maintanance crew had not been able to mow the course. The rough was like a U.S. Open Sunday, lush green and long. Carts were restricted to the cart paths which along with the tall grass really slowed things down. Play the blue tee's and the course is more challenging than the slope and course rating would indicate. A good value for the money. 2 par 5's at 550 and 567 yards, 3 par 3's over 180 yards.
