Another wonderful day of golf at Hilton Head National. It is difficult to beat the quality of the fairways and greens at HHN for the price anywhere in the HHI and Bluffton area. Top class golf. Have played previously and it did not disappoint this time around. I highly recommend a trip here. Why pay twice as much for courses half as good elsewhere in the area. If you are looking for a place to play in the area, be sure to play here.

The weather was picturesque for a morning round at Old South. Was a solo paired with a father and son visiting the area and playing the course for the first time as well. Good company. We were all very pleased with the quality of the course conditions. 16 of the 18 greens were flawless with the other two just fine with only a couple of thin spots from the shady area. The course provides for plenty of challenging shots, but in an enjoyable way. Though there are many shots you have to fly the marsh or avoid hazards, they are makeable shots and the greens are not surrounded by bunkers at most holes, which is nice. The course sets up well and is better for the slice off the tee rather than the hook (for right handed players). The grounds are well maintained and the staff friendly. Many holes are all about hitting landing zones and target areas, but is not exhausting. It was very nice to find a course that offered quality play, exceptional greens, and all for less than $100. Most Island courses are more expensive and less quality. Very enjoyable round and look forward to returning.

Played early Sunday morning. Was paired with two ladies from Japan. They could not speak any English, but we were able to converse through the smart phone translator. They played very well. The course was in fantastic shape. Had to avoid 25-30 turkeys a couple of times. Greens were in great shape. A lot of bunkers guarding the greens, but still very manageable. Free courtesy taxi from the resort and back was terrific. Have been playing Disney golf on all my trips down these days. LBV may be just a slight shade better, but Magnolia was a very close second.

Played the Bear for the first time this past Sunday. Was out early, first golfer of the day. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Day was overcast entire round and temps in the low 50s. Would like to have seen it in sunshine. Course is flat and narrow, but not impossible. Overseeding for winter starting to kick in. Fair amount of bunkers and water protecting greens, making for a challenging day. Course is not the most lush in the area, but better than average. Greens were in fine shape. Will definitely look to play on my next visit to the Island.

Had a beautiful golf trip to Scotland and Ireland. This was my last course, played Ailsa at Turnberry and the Old Course at St. Andrews and others.

I really enjoyed playing this course. It was in excellent shape and beautiful early on a Sunday morning. Was paired with a local member, Donal. Hired a caddy, which I highly recommend. Ryan was terrific! We went out early ahead of the member tournament. Donal was an awesome pairing for me and made for a very enjoyable round. I enjoyed playing this course as much as any of the others on the trip.

The course is a typical links course. Greens were the best of any of the courses I played on the trip. Rumors were that the Irish Open may be at this course in the coming years, which I think it is worthy.

The course is 20 minutes from Dublin City Centre, so very accessible. I recommend adding this to your list of courses if you are in the area. The Portmarnock Golf Club (next door) may be more historical and the Island may be more challenging, but you should not pass up playing here. It is well worth a round of relaxed, enjoyable golf.

Finally played the historic Old Course! We got lucky as the weather was sunny, 70 degrees and little wind. It was picture perfect. We failed to be selected via the ballot so we slipped out early in the morning to get in the already formed line at the Old Pavilion to snag one of the few available queue walk up tee times. We were a two ball and there were a few slots available. We were numbers 7 and 8 in line and when the doors opened at 6 am, we had our pick of the remaining slots and took an 11:30 am tee time. We went back to Rusack's Hotel, took a brief nap, had breakfast, shopped at the shop and then time for golf.

Just wow. It was everything you would expect. The staff was super friendly as were the caddies. I would highly recommend a caddy, especially if your first time. The ball really runs an extra 25-50 yards. The fairways are hard pan and the greens are large. If you miss the fairway, you still can usually play your ball easily. Highlights of the day was nearly par on the 17th road hole, settling for bogey, and then draining a 35-foot putt on 18th for par with cheers and applause from the 50-75 locals watching.

If you have dreamed of this trip and an avid golfer, do it. It can easily be done from the states. Live your dream!

Visiting Hilton Head for the weekend. Had time to play one course. Read reviews and chose HHN. Reviews on GA made the difference and was spot on. Awesome day of golf. Was paired with a super nice gentleman. Course in great condition. TifEagle greens like no other. Wide fairways and challenging greens made for fun day. Would strongly recommend. Will definitely return. Half the price as other HHI courses, but twice as good.

The cool start to spring in the south has bermuda fairways off to a very slow start. Was disappointed with the fairway conditions, especially after the reviews. To be honest, it has been so cool and damp with snow 10 days ago, probably not fair to judge my first trip here too harshly. Greens were solid and course layout is nice. Would like to see the course after the warmth of summer to see how the fairways look. Will play again.

Relatively new course, just a few minutes from Blue Ridge, GA and 25 minutes from Harrah's Casino outside Murphy, NC. Fairways and greens are always well maintained. Residential development is just beginning and only 10-12 homes so far, but growing. Only 9 holes so far, with additional 9 coming. Course has some really challenging holes, especially 5 and 7. Hole 8 is from a well elevated tee box, which adds a fun 50-100 yards to your drive. This course should only continue to get better with the additional 9 holes. Worth the trip if you are in the area.

Extremely private and difficult course to get on. Everything you have heard is true. The twin to Augusta National. A day playing 18 at Peachtree is a golfer's dream come true. Fastest greens you can play. If you get the opportunity, soak it in and enjoy.

Wonderful day of golf. Very nice course. Private course most of the time, but occasional availability on golfnow. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed my round here. Disney class all the way. Course stays in good shape all year around and makes any trip to WDW extra enjoyable. Bring your clubs and play!

Played with my 12-year old daughter. Was paired with a really nice local couple, from Connecticut originally. They play weekly. First three holes were amazingly bad condition. Disappointed. Pace of play is slow. Back 4 or 5 holes are much better and longer. They appear to be from a part of another course originally. First three are as if you put holes in your backyard. This course could and should be upgraded by Disney so families can enjoy nice conditions. Course is over-played due to family friendliness.

Fantastic course that see little action due to exclusivity and private club. Fabulous conditions. Course provide many challenges. 18 is a terrific way to finish up the day with a par or birdie.

Awesome course. Best of the RTJ Trail. Fantastic resort as well. You will not be disappointed here. One of the best courses in Alabama.

Course fairway was still dormant in February. Course is similar to a municipal course in quality. There are some fun holes, but a little rough in areas.

Nice little nine hole that has seen much better days. This is a great course for beginners and novice players. Fairway conditions probably worse than most backyards. Greens are decent. Only nine holes. Sentimental favorite of mine as my golf game began here 8 years ago. Ruined a few clubs by hitting rocks in fairway. If you want to go hit some balls around and learn the game, this is the place. You cannot embarrass yourself here. Hate to rate it so low, but it is what it is.
