My problem with this course is it does not drain well. Greens are in great shape, but roll inconsistently. Some are fast, some are super slow. Fairways are slowing returning to pre-renovation condition due to poor drainage and upkeep. Some of the fairways are so soft that a perfect ball strike is required to even have a chance at the green. It was almost like hitting a ball under water. Pace of play was slow for the second nine because we caught up to slower players. I probably wont golf here again. Some of the Ocala courses are same price, but are much nicer and more scenic.

Enjoyed this course. Challenging, but fair. Greens rolled true. Fairways were moderately firm. Pace of play was good. Staff was friendly, and would have given a 5 star rating, but said they normally would charge me to allow my 4 yr old son to ride with me. Most courses don't charge for this.

At first glance, this course looks very nice, but once we started playing we were less than impressed. On the positive side, the greens were excellent. However, the bugs were horrible in the middle of the day, the golf course smelled like fresh fertilizer (the brown variety) and worst of all, under the plush green fairway grass, the course was muddy in many places despite not having had much rain. My clubs felt more like mud shovels than golf clubs.also, there are houses every where.

I prefer Stoney Brook/ heritage harbour, misty creek, rosedale or university park or even IMG.

Enjoyed this course with its hilly layout and well-maintained greens. The only problem was the fairways need some work on some holes. For the price I paid, though, it was a pretty good deal.
