My wife surprised me with a trip to Chateau Elan for golf, dinner, wine and a couples massage. We started things off with a round on the Chateau Course. The layout is pretty wide open for the most part, but you still have to be smart and selective with your shots and club choices. The greens were in good condition and rolled with good pace. Will definitely be back to play again and to check out The Woodlands course.

Beachwood Golf Course isn’t an overwhelmingly difficult course, but it challenges you enough with a forgiving layout. It will force you to use your entire bag and be strategic with what you play off the tee. Sometimes driver isn’t the correct choice, even off of a par 5. For the past 3 years, I have played this course with my father-in-law 3 times every week that we visit Myrtle Beach for our annual family vacation. It is my official home-away course and it will continue to be so into the future. Great course at a great value and I would recommend it to any avid golfer looking to get multiple rounds in while on vacation. See you next year, Beachwood Golf!

Challenging course; will definitely force you to use all the clubs in your bag. Beautiful scenery on Lake Russell... great course, I will be back!

I always love playing at Stone Mountain, but the greens were in terrible shape. Not sure if that is due to the time of year, but I have played here in the winter before and the greens have been fine. Not every green was bad, but there were a lot with fungus and dead spots. Not sure what was going on... for the money they charge and how the course is marketed, the course should be flawless and unfortunately it wasn’t today.

Country Club of Gwinnett is very consistent every time I play it. The greens are always in a good condition and you get a lot of value for your money. You have to be strategic on this course as using driver on every par 4 or par 5 is not always the right decision. I definitely recommend this course!

If you want to hit a lot of driver off the tee, this isn’t the course for you. The layout will really challenge you on every shot and force you to use every club in your bag. The greens are no joke either... better bring your “A” game.

Pace of play was horrendous. The staff has got to do a better job of managing the tee times and enforcing pace of play. It doesn’t matter how nice the course is, if the pace of play continues to be 6 hour plus rounds and waiting 15-20 minutes in each tee box, I will take my game to another course. It’s a shame too, I really like this course and want to make it my home course, but the pace of play ruins it.

Beautiful course, especially the elevated tees. The par 3 15th is one of the most beautiful holes I have ever seen! Very challenging and narrow, will test your golf game for sure!
