I’ve been on a quest to find a descent course to play in the Fort Lauderdale area. This one is definitely in my top three. Greens were in great shape and true. The layout was fun. Staff was terrific.

Diasappointing. We arrived for a off 7:54 am tee off on a Sunday of a long weekend, only to to be told that the food and beverage staff would not be available until 10am and this no coffee was available. The halfway hour was still not open when we made the turn and there were no options until we were on the 16 hole and were met by the cart girl at 11:05am. At $105 per round, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be able to grab a coffee and a small bite before you tee off in the morning.

As someone who has travelled down to the Fort Lauderdale area often over the last few years, I have made a mission of playing as many courses as possible, and Eagle Trace is far and away the best one I have played. From the moment you drive up to the clubhouse, you know you're in for a treat. The staff is always friendly and courteous, the practice facilities are top notch and the course is a treat to play.

As a result of the heavy rains last week, this last round play quite a bit longer that the 6,500+ yards on the score card. The greens were great and the layout is fun. Moving forward, I will be playing this course more and more and not concerning myself with others in the area.

Layout from the back tees was enjoyable. Greens were in great shape considering the amount of rain received in the last week or so. Fairways had little to no roll but I have no doubt in drier conditions they would. Staff was friendly and pace of play terrific.

This course is great value. Always in excellent shape. Visually sets up well from the tee and can be enjoyed from all tee decks. Yesterday's pin placements were either the result of an over zealous kid in PGA Championship tournament mode or perhaps he was just angry about the night before.

Though some staff members we good (starter) and some were great (the wait staff in the pub after the round) there needs to be an improvement in 2 areas: one, the pro shop reception was less than adequate for such a beautiful club house/course and B. the cart girls remained parked/stationary in 2 locations on the course (one on the front and one on the back). As it was a 35 degree day, it would have been nice for them to drive around and ensure guests had enough water to get them through.
