Oakcreek Country Club

This is hands down the nicest course in Sedona... shoot, maybe the nicest course I have ever played and I play in Palm Springs (CA), Tucson, Alaska, Phoenix, Washington, Texas... you get the idea. The greens roll true, the fairways are immaculate, the rough gives the appropriate penalty and the dogleg holes make it hard to crash and bash. The only thing that could be better would be more sand in the traps... but, I guess we all know that we shouldn't be in the traps to start with - haha.
Indian Palms Golf & Country Club - Indian/Mountain
Played On 12/29/2017Tight lies and narrow fairways
Great course for the money. COuldn't seem to make my irons bounce off the fairways though. The grass was so tight, that I was constantly digging and and hitting them fat. Greens rolled true. Fairways were pretty narrow, so hitting your tee shot is crucial. No real opportunity to let it rip to provide for a birdie chance, since most of the holes have a dogleg or blind approach.
Golf Club At Terra Lago - South Course
Played On 12/27/2017Short holes with lightning fast greens
I would give Terra Lago a higher rating, but the fairways are need of some attention, and the greens are so fast that it was not enjoyable to play. The starter suggested that I play from the whites since I am a 12 handicap, and it's a good thing. While I was on almost every green in regulation - I doubled and tripled several times because the ball simply would not stay, or it would blow past the cup. On one occasion, three balls GIR in our group, and they all rolled back towards the fairway and into the bunker. ridiculous when you consider that all approach shots were from inside 70 yards. I watched the player in front of me 10 putt on a par 3... literally, 10 putt! I felt accomplished because I escaped with a 4 putt.
Bluebonnet Hill Golf Club & Range
Played On 07/06/2015Fairly pretty course
Nice course, but nothing so special to warrant a "private" club. The fairways were nice, but the greens simply did not accept a ball on the approach shot. I was able to come in with a wedge on most of my 2nd shots, but the ball would hit, and then roll off the back - pretty tough to make par, or birdie for that matter. I' would play here again, but not really plan on keeping a score for my handicap.
