Classic course getting better each year

Classic design with soft undulating greens, a good mix of shorter and longer holes, a variety of difficulties, in particular slopes and high trees, a few water holes and strategically placed sandtraps. After being abandoned and falling into disrepute for some time, this course is back on its feet and offers some of the softest greens around Mexico. Almost in tip-top condition as far the golf course is concerned, there is some ongoing work on the other amenities. Meanwhile, the prices are kept reasonable, and this is a very accessible course from the district capital. Some local insects tend to mass around your ball when you play under a hot sun which can be bothersome, but they are harmless.

Best value 9 holes around Mexico City

Although a bit short, the course offers plenty of challenges with some side-slopes and some blind tees, and quite narrow fairways. Greens are usually very quick and sometimes a bit too hard, but also provide some challenge. Pace of play can be a bit slow with the course allowing 5-somes on the week-ends, especially in the morning before 11am. Generally the course is very fun to play, very accessible both in terms of commute time from Mexico City and in terms of greenfee cost (the cheapest around). It´s a great place to learn to play golf or to have a quick round. The main attraction is definitely the members and staff who are very friendly and make you feel right at home.

Great fun course, unlimited potential

The course is still a bit young, having only opened the second 9-holes around 18 months ago; this is evident from the trees which are still a bit too short and the grass which is yet to put down solid roots. Some day, that will be a distant memory, and then my guess is it will be the best golf course around Mexico City. Built on the banks of a lake, it has scenic views from most of the holes. Zigzagging between canyons and cactuses, it looks phenomenal already, and is great fun to play. Not easy by any means, it plays longer than other local courses and challenges you with top notch greens with some difficult slopes.
