It’s a little early in the year and the fairways are just waking up. One of the best tracks in Jacksonville. You can expect a little slower play because the course can be challenging from any tee box. I have played it for almost 30 years and still love it.

Hidden Hills is one of the best course designs in Jacksonville. The conditions need to improve to make it an all around value. My real disappointment playing this time was the lack of awareness from the staff. Workings driving up to the green while putting. Talking and cutting into the fairway without looking. It seemed that they have new staff that never worked on a course before.

I love the layout of this course. But the bunkers were not raked and haven’t been trimmed in a long time. The greens are aerated and are in horrible condition for the value. And the fairways are were damp and in some areas puddles. The pace was slow. This course was once a gem. However, lately they have not kept the greens in good condition. They also don’t mention that the greens have been aerated.

This course is a hidden treasure for the value. It was in very good condition and for the money, it can't be beat.

The course is do for a total redesign in December and will be closed then. Knowing this I thought it should be worth the $11 to play. I could not have been more wrong. Several of the greens have no grass. Two holes don't have regulation cups with flags. They have a 6 inch pipe and a flag pole. They should just close it now. Don't know why it is still open. If I could, I would take away stars from it.
