I Recommend This Course
Great layout, tricky greens
Good opening hole is deceptive. It has the largest green on the course. The rest of the greens are tiny. Course gains strength on hole 6, a brutal par 4 with a long carry over water. Hole 7 is an easy par 5, an eagle opportunity. Hole 8 is a beautiful, long par 3. #9 was the hardest hole, a long uphill par 4. Holes 10,11, & 12 are memorable. 10 has the most distinctive green, with characteristic Ross fall off areas. #12 is a beautiful par 3. Then the course loses style and focus with a lot of holes that aren't memorable or seem a repeat of one another. #17 is a stunning par 3.

GREAT layout. Played many times throughout year and in good condition during winter and excellent condition during prime golf season. Scenic, fun to play but can be tough at times. Excellent value. One of best courses in south central Virginia.
