Course double charged me

I played this course on Sunday the 4th. Reserved with Golf Now. Paid over $150 for two players at the course. Then Golfnow sends me an email two days later saying Emerald Hills has reported I was a no show and Golf Now is charging me $146. So i got double charged thanks to this course and this is a hassle to get removed. I have to file a billing dispute.

As far as the course itself, was very average at best. Myself and the cart girl almost got hit by a stray golf ball (no fore called - ball came in hot and ricochet off the food cart). Best thing about this course is maybe the clubhouse. Shower facility was OK although it took the shower about 15 minutes of continuous running to finally get warm water. Maybe you guys should fix that. Not happy overall.

Make sure you bring your own water - because they don't have any!

Played late on Father's Day. Pace of play was surprisingly good and the conditions were decent. I was expecting a 5 hour round plus.

With that said there is ZERO water available on this course. It was hot and I couldn't believe there was no spots where I could refill my water bottle. They had the little cupboards where you would see water coolers like all the golf courses have. The problem was there were no water coolers, I guess the management doesn't want to be bothered maintaining and refilling them. There are no water fountains anywhere. There is a food hut near the 8th hole I believe where you can BUY water, but no water fountain here either. At the turn at the clubhouse there is no water fountain there either, the only spot where you can get water is way inside the clubhouse inside the men's locker room, they have a water cooler there. But to go all the way inside the clubhouse to get water would destroy the pace of play, and that's probably why the pace of play here is normally horrible. There are also no bathrooms on the course, again with the exception near the 8th hole. Makes playing holes 10-16 very difficult.

So if you plan on playing when it's really hot, bring plenty of your own fluids. I have no idea what the management here is thinking, maybe they want people fainting on the course. I am not old by any means either and I was literally parched out there. For what they charge for a round, pay a runner to refill the water coolers place.

Fairways need a lot of work

This course needs some work. The fairways had a lot of weeds and such growing right in the middle which would prevent a fairway shot from getting some extra roll. It also made hitting an iron difficult from some spots, felt like I was hitting out of the rough when I was hitting from the fairway. Sand traps were also difficult to hit, most of them were very firm. Greens were OK but a little hairy in some spots, definitely not the fastest although I made a few decent putts. Overall place was empty as I went on a day that had thunderstorms in the forecast and was very windy. Was a single but they didn't charge me the $5 fee. I probably would have left if they did as driving to the clubhouse I could see from my car the condition of the fairways. Since it was empty I asked the owner if I could play another nine if I wanted and he didn't have a problem so extra stars here. Overall I was a bit disappointed since I traveled an hour to get there, but in the end I just wanted to play and enjoyed myself. Pace of play was great since the place was empty.

Very slow play and punched greens - No marshall

They don't accept credit cards (why?). Round ended up to be 5 1/2 hours thanks to a slow and lousy foresome in front of us, playing from the tips no less. I am a high handicapper, but I move the ball and don't slow up play. There was no marshall in sight to move these guys along. Greens were punched a few weeks ago so they were in lousy shape. Sand traps were OK. Very difficult course, but I have to say for almost $90 a round, this place was not worth it. Who wants to deal with a close to 6 hour round?
