About
Golf to me, my game changer. The ultimate boost of self confidence. The tee box, this is the place to reconcile with all that you don't know and what you want to learn. The fairway, the place you come to terms with what you've got - where you face the uncertain and unknown challenges. The green, a place for poise and strategy. The game...a time to connect with those who love the game, appreciate others, value rules, etiquette, honesty and politeness. Thankful every day GOLF is on my schedule.

Settler's Hill Golf Course
Played On 08/11/2019Fowl
In addition to the fairways being in pretty rough shape, many of the greens had excessive ball marks (I’m positive golfers understand how bad form it is to not repair theirs), and the goose litter was disgusting and everywhere, especially #18.
It’s too bad really because it could be a great course. Just not worth the yuck factor considering all the wonderful courses around town.
Mountain Meadows Golf Course
Played On 02/23/2019Irresponsible and just plain bad
The first sign of trouble was that every practice mat was full, there were no available carts upon check in and the first tee was backed up. We were paired with THREE other golfers with a group of 8, yes 8 in front of us and a group of 5 in front of them. Apparently, that's the deal with this course. They allow large groups as a matter of normal practice. I can handle the occasional 4.5 hour round but 5.5 hours was totally unacceptable. In my view, Golf Now should remove this course from their system. Oh, and we saw the cart service person on hole 1, 9 and 17. The course had a lot of damage and the greens were like playing on a pool table surface. Never will I return.
Pottawatomie Golf Club
Played On 09/14/2019No course management
Tee time was 11:30. Four groups in front of us waiting. 20 min after our time we finally got off. Never saw a ranger. Slow slow slow. Top it off with golfers driving carts on the green. There’s more. You get the idea. It’s too bad. It’s a nice little course.
St. Andrews Golf & Country Club - St. Andrews Course
Played On 07/29/2018Time to Mow
While this is one of our go-to weekend courses, we've grown a bit weary of a few things. 1)the rough has been consistently too long and yesterday was no exception. We watched a number of golfers spend too much time looking for their balls and this just makes for an unnecessarily long round. 2)yesterday, the fairway grass was also really just too long. 3)pace of play suffers here. The only hole we did not wait on was #1 it was backed up from #2 on. I'll go back, and hopeful feedback like this is taken into consideration by grounds management and rangers.
Makray Memorial Golf Club
Played On 07/17/2018It was like putting on a pool table
I'm all up for a challenge; however, the greens here are ridiculously difficult which is why we didn't go back last year. The challenging pin placements would not have been so bad except the ball, even with a slightest of taps, rolled by again and again. The collective foursome was beyond frustrated and it certainly did not help pace of play.
Prairie Landing
Played On 06/30/2018Treat of a Course
It's an expensive round of golf but well worth it. New carts, the course is in excellent condition, good pace of play compared to most every other public course I've played at this year and the rangers and course assistants were very friendly.
Settler's Hill Golf Course
Played On 05/26/2018Once is probably enough
Golf here a few times a year but this year, probably our one and only time. Many soggy holes and if it were just water...but, some areas just too smelly to enjoy and there is nothing but an outhouse until you finish 13 so in other words, no acceptable facilities on the course. Starter and ranger were excellent, very friendly, engaging. Great customer service.
Buenaventura Golf Course
Played On 03/29/2017All ground under repair
I wish I would have been able to play this course at a time when every fairway was under repair. I understand they took on a great deal of water - really though, cart path only, most fairways with major adverse conditions and a few par 4's turned par 3's with mats to hit off of...not the best experience. The staff let us know the deal when we checked in. I think it would have been better of Golf Now posted a 'Beware' notice. Had we known it was in such bad condition right now, we would have most definitely played someplace else in the area. I'll try it again...next year.
