Fun to play staff is great

The links at Queen Creek is a fun golf course in perfect shape , the staff is friendly and helpful. Don’t be fooled by the yardage there are some tough holes that you have to put the ball in play in position to score.
The rates are fantastic for the winter and you can beat the course for he money at this tome of year. Val is fantastic and helped us save some more money using our loyalty card - the pace of play was a little over 3 hours- it was a perfect day.

Beautiful water features excellent layout

Ocotillo is such a great value for the money - the staff is great all three nines offer a challenging yet fair test of golf with beautiful views and picturesque hole layouts.
For the price you can’t beat it in the Phoenix area in the winter.
I look forward to playing it all winter and summer as the combination of the 3 nines gives you a new “look” each time I play.
Great track highly Reccomended!

Solid bargain

Yeh first time I played here and was impressed by the staff friendliness and the excellent service in the bar and grill. I was made to feel welcome and was paired with some great guys.
The pace of play because of the frost delay was a bit slow but that was to be understood because of the 1 hour delay.
Course was in good condition and the greens were in good shape and excellent speed.
For the money this is a great buy in the winter.

Best value in the desert

Santa Rosa at Sun City – Mountain Vista is a real treat. The golf course is the finest condition all year long. You will have to pay a lot more to get the course conditions you get here day in and day out.
The Santa Rosa layout is challenging from the tips but not so much that you get frustrated it plays a little over 6700 yards but they have tees for seniors and everything in between. The range is good and the putting greens are large and indicative of the actual green speeds.
The course layout can come up and bite you if you are not careful but the fairways are wide and forgiving. There is water on many holes and the signature holes 10 and 11 are really beautiful with it waterfalls and many unique water fowl. Give Santa Rosa a try, you will have a great round of golf and be treated well, and for the money you can’t get a better conditioned track! Great greens and fairways are always manicured. Staff from the pros, marshals and cart guys can’t be beat!

6 hour round

When I booked they didn’t say that there was a shotgun tournament - the pace was so slow it took 1hour and 45 minutes to play 4 holes and the 5 the hole had 3 groups on it - the marshals - what marshals - I called to get a refund from the course and they said they would but stupidly I prepaid Golf Now and they would not refund me - I will never prepay golf now again - not worth the money the course was in fair shape - the pace of play horrendous ! Don’t play there !

Hidden Gem

Mountain View at Desert Willow might get overlooked because it is a city owned public golf course- but any ideas about ‘MUNIS” go out the window here. From the minute you pull up and are greeted by one of the super friendly valet guys, they grab your bags and get you squared away in minutes. The pro shop is well stocked and the restaurants are fantastic.
The course has all you want no matter what tees you play and I have played them all. It is always in great shape in season and in the summer. There are always marshals and I have never had a round even in the busiest of times that took over 4 hours. Great risk reward holes and the greens are always well taken care of. Don’t write either course off at Desert Willow Firecliff with all its bunkers and Mountain View are always a great time.

Amazed at how good shape this course was in

I had first played the two courses at Marriot Desert springs some 12 years ago. Being one of the premier resort hotels and being linked to the Marriot Timeshares the course gets a ton of play when I played the two courses 12 years ago the two courses reflected it. Spotty fairways, slow greens, slow play and many 4 time a year players that don’t repair ball marks. Well the resort is just as busy it is a beautiful resort with so much to do. The real surprise was just how good the course I played (valley) was.
The greens were perfect to roll the ball on; the fairways were lush without a bare spot I could see. The rough was fair and with very strong delineation of fairway and 1st cut.
It was fun to play, the staff to a man were friendly and helpful with a smile all along.
The course has wide fairways but there is plenty of water to be careful in your shot selection.
If there was one note I could give them is that sand in the bunkers is so fine when it is wet in the morning it was like hitting from hard pan. Other than that, great place to play, superb conditions and friendly helpful staff. I am glad I chose to revisit it again.

If there is a shot gun Golf now should post that

I love this course but it took almost 2.5 hours to play at 1:00 pm I quit after 10 holes waiting on every shot - poor advertising- if there is a shotgun - you should post it - if it wa so missed it - but will not spend 120 bucks to play a 5/12 hour round !

Perfection plain and simple

Ily
Put pristine conditions together with a great course layout that can test but not overwhelm any handicap golfer combine that with a freindly caring staff - great membership and you have Heritage palms— I am 30 year desert resident and ha e been lucky enough to have played many of the fine courses in our Coachella Valley - I don’t why but I never had the opportunity to play Heritage palms until this past summer when the rate was very reasonable . The first time I played it I was hooked - I played it 4 straight weeks in a row - I played it for the first time in the “season” and even at the 85 dollar rate I consider it one of the best bargain in the desert - I have always been paired with great members who welcome you with open arms - play it and call in love with immaculate conditions-the Best greens in the valley and conditions that would rival Augusta -play it for sure!

Never knew what i was missing!

I have lived in the desert for over 25 years and i think i can brag that i have played all but 1 or 2 of the super private country clubs out of the over 120 plus golf courses in the Coachella valley, yet I never played Heritage Palms until this past Saturday.- I had heard they had some of the fastest and well kept greens in the desert and that the course had always been listed among the top 5 courses as far as course maintenance - yet i never had the opportunity to play it. I am here to tell you that was an oversight you should not make. The course was in pristine condition, the staff was welcoming , the greens were as advertised and the combination of course architecture and rare elevation changes make this a must when you get to the desert. the price in the summer was amazing at 39.00 and aI liked it so much I booked it for our usual Sunday foursome the following Sunday.
Great course layout many tee boxes to choose from will challenge the low and high handicapper - pristine golf course conditions and perfect greens - now one of my favorites in the Desert !

be careful

Designed by Gene Sarazan - all I can say is The Squire did what he could with what he had to work with. The course was in great shape the bunkers have some of the best fluffy sand in the desert. But the course is so short on real estate that many times you are teeing off with the prior green or another green literally a few feet from you - so lots of noise on the tee box and while you are putting. There are also a few blind entrances to the tee boxes that take you in front of a tee box. I guess that takes some getting used to - but the emphasis here is hitting it straight - there are some nice doglegs that you can cut if you can hit it high enough and there is enough trouble to keep you on your toes. The course is short at only 5500 yards from the back tees and only 1 semi legitimate par 5 - but for the price this is a great value and will help sharpen your accuracy with the driver and your prowess with the shorter approach shots.

great changes

I hadn't played Terra Lago since it was purchased. I probably would not have played it again but Golf Now pricing made it too good a deal to resist. I was pleasantly surprised at the changes that are being made. The South course had much of the tough desert brush cleared out on many holes and finding balls on errant shots has become much easier making the round faster. The removal of some of the brush gives the course many views that are less intimidating off the tee boxes and I felt I could really lets loose with the driver. The course was in great shape - the watering and the maintenance was always suspect before, the new team seems to have a better handle on that making the fairways much much better - no bare spots and hitting off of hardpan dirt. The greens were the best I have seen them in many years. I will be back I always like the 2 layouts but it was always in such poor condition I passed when I had the opportunity to play there. With new sand in the bunkers and a superintendent that knows what he is doing Terra Lago should become a gem again in the desert.

bad value for the money

the course is not well maintained and at 75.00 was a poor value for what was there - course time to play was slow I asked the ranger to speed them up and that was not done- they continued at a slow pace - `we waited on every hole - the people said they would discount for being over 55 - but they couldn't do it then - I had do it at the turn - I never bothered - Mario the starter was the only bright spot giving good info on the course and features-
worst course I have played and bought through Golf Now
