South at Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Course
Played On 09/07/2020Beautiful, Historic, and thick
Obviously for out of towners, you play this course for the experience (you also pay quite a hefty fee). Course is beautiful and in great shape. Carts aren’t anything special. Very little in terms of amenities on and off the course- serves as a reminder that this is a public course. I don’t know if I’d pay $250 to play again but It was a great experience.

This course lives up to it's name. Very tough greens and several hidden tee/approach shots unless you drive the ball extremely well. I'd play here again but I'd have to have someone help me track my ball. Lots of trees with lots of pine needles. All in all, fun but hard.
Hello Brady. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Oak Lake Golf Course
Played On 06/25/2018Hidden Flags but Not Bad
Great value, front 9 much easier than back 9. But many of the flags, and several fairways, are hidden over hills and their are some thick areas of grass. But it was a fun course. I’d play again.
Bob O'Connor Golf Course at Schenley Park/The First Tee of Pittsburgh
Played On 06/15/2018Interesting round with a little bit of everything
The course is very picturesque with a nice First Hole set up, views of the city, great house behind 17, beautiful 18 hole... the course is also in very good shape which is likely because no carts run all through it. It can get a little confusing at times, especially holes 8-10. The 8th tee box doesn’t make it clear where the pin is- without GPS I would’ve shot at 10 instead of over the road. Still, great golf. However, I’m guessing that because it’s an open park, some people come onto the course without paying? There was a man on 11 and 12, no shirt, who just played those two holes. A little weird but okay. I enjoyed the course nonetheless.
Meadowink Golf Course
Played On 06/08/2018Great conditions- Fun course
I play here a lot; Course is in great condition. Pace was very slow but I feel like that’s to be expected on a nice Friday in June.
Meadowink Golf Course
Played On 04/20/2018One of the Best
I play this course often; its my favorite in Pittsburgh. Even when it's wet, it's still a great course. Challenging off the tee but manageable if you aren't trying to be fancy. Fairways are taken care of. Greens have some weird breaks but that would be my only complaint
Meadowink Golf Course
Played On 09/06/2017Slowest Game I've Played Here
I play Meadowink several times a month; it's my favorite course in Pittsburgh. But for some reason, the last outing was uncharacteristically slow. I was playing alone and the round took 5 hours, there were back-ups at every hole. Not a great experience. Great course, but I hope this was just a one time thing.
Cherry Wood Golf Course
Played On 07/15/2017Not Worth the Trip
This course is hard to find. The "pro shop" is in a trailer. The carts are older than I am and don't work to well. There are no fairways, just overgrown grass. The greens are in rough shape. The layout is pretty confusing. And it just isn't a comfortable place to play. I was disappointed. I'm not above any course but it wasn't enjoyable to play.
