Iroquois Golf Course
Played On 10/08/2014Good public parks course for the money
Played late in the afternoon during the week so the course was pretty busy. I played 18 holes with a cart and came up on plenty of threesomes and foursomes, mostly walking. Everyone was very easy-going and let me play through, I finished 18 holes in 2:40. Course was in decent condition. The fairways are patchy, but not much dirt/mud, just rough patches in the grass. Greens are decent, but many people did not repair the ball marks. Plenty of elevation changes make the course fun. All in all, a great value for the price.
Cardinal Hills Golf Course
Played On 10/07/2014Not a great course, but a lot of fun
I have played here a few times and it is a good course for the money. Some holes are challenging while others are up and down. The fairways are more like a well kept lawn rather than a nice fairway, but playable nonetheless. Staff is always very friendly...a family-run facility.
The Links At Rising Star Casino
Played On 09/07/2014Great links-style course
I booked the course on a day when the weather was going to be very nice and was hesitant that the course would be packed and pace of play would be slow. There was a threesome and a twosome waiting at the first tee when I arrived (alone). I joined the twosome, one of the players was a beginner. Despite the course being busy, we were not held up at all by the group in front of us and we were not holding anyone up that was playing behind us. The course was in great condition. The greens were worn, but that was expected for this time of year and they still rolled true. Great course. I will definitely play again if I am in the area.
