Play here every time I’m in town and have time. Course was in excellent shape. Cast members were helpful and very professional. Played in 4 hours as a foursome. Our group didn’t wait on a single shot until the 18th. Cart gps is accurate and allow for Bluetooth connectivity for music/sports streaming. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Course is in prime condition. Staff was very friendly and very attentive to our groups needs. Layout is fair assuming you play the correct tees for your ability. A nearby hotel construction has effected the 18th hole which is playing very short. I always recommend this course assuming you get it for the right price.

Did not use range as it was mats only. Cart GPS is accurate. Greens were in good condition and rolled true. Pace of play was an issue. No ranger to be seen. Our group consistently waited on every shot. Can't speak to off-course amenities as we did not partake.

El Campeón

Played on a buddies trip. Flew into SFB. Course is a little bit more away from the tourist attractions. Grill had a good selection for lunch but was a little pricey considering it was $9 for a hot dog and some house made chips. Course was in overall good shape. Some bare or thin grass areas. Layout presents challenges to all skill levels and is provided elevation changes not typically associated with Florida golf. No pace of play issues experienced by our group.

Course is in good shape, greens rolled true, rough had some patchy areas. Pace of play was not an issue. Lots of construction going on in subdivisions so expect a little noise from the work crews. Practice area was decent.

Great location if flying out of SFB

Played here on 3/8/18, attempted to book through GolfNow, had to use the course’s website instead. Fairways were crunchy in places and greens were semi-receptive. Several fairways had bald spots. Layout was fair. Pace of play was not a problem.

Shingle Creek

Played here on the morning of 3/7/18. First, they have free valet at the bag drop. Be prepared to be rushed. Pro shop is very nice and has an upscale feel to it. Course is in great condition. Greens were smooth and the fairways are plush and thriving. Shingle Creek may possibly have the most comfortable golf cart I have ever driven. Utilize the GPS on the carts to plan your approach and tee shots and you will enjoy your round a lot!

Dreadful pace of play

Played this course in the afternoon of 3/7/18. Our foursome ate a quick lunch at the Tap Room next door to the course and headed to the ProShop. Paid our fees and headed to the first tee (played 18 in the morning so no need to hit range balls) we were met by the starter, (i think his name was Mark) he greeted us and gave us some knowledge about the course. He went on to tell us that there was a tournament out on the course but they were playing par and go so we shouldn't be held up AND starting around 3:45 he was going to be out on the course pushing the slow groups. First off, this is not resort golf with wide open fairways and massive greens. It's a shotmaker's course. We officially made it through the first hole before we caught the group in front of us. They were just leaving the second tee when we pulled up (they were on the first green when we teed off on the first hole). We then proceeded to wait on every tee and every approach through the first 9 holes. We waited almost 20 minutes from the time we hit putted out on the 5th hole to hit our tee shots on the 6th. Mark was nowhere to be seen and was definitely not out "pushing the slow groups". We barely finished round with daylight left. I would not recommend this course friends unless they could ensure they are the first group off. I don't know if they need to space out their tee times or just have a ranger out there, but pace of play was horrendous.

Rude staff

Played in the rain on the morning of 3/5/18. Course layout is fair and was in good condition. The staff here needs some lessons in customer service. We asked the guy behind the counter when we checked in what it was looking like for possibly replaying on the international course after we finished the national, he responded by looking at the weather forecast on another computer and said “looks like a good bit of rain” another gentleman asked how we were doing, and the same question was asked, to which he responded “it’s whatever he said” (referring to rude staff member 1). Moving onto the bag drop guys, the guy setting up carts got smart with another member of our group because he used a towel that was sitting on their counter to wipe off some “complimentary” tees and the cart seat. The starter Wayde was the nicest staff member we met all day.

TPC Myrtle Beach

TPC Myrtle Beach is in amazing condition right now! Partially due to the Dustin Johnson junior tournament a few weeks ago.

Played here to end a buddies trip as always. The course is fair if you play the correct tees for your skill level. Definitely a shotmakers course. Plan your hole by club selection and this course will not disappoint. Try and overpower this course and you will find yourself in trouble with no choice but to play for another shot. Several holes have forced carries and several 3 shot par 5's if played from a back tee.
Pace of play is getting better here, the first round played here several years ago was close to 6 hours, with a lot of waiting. The staff here have made leaps and bounds to speed up the play, this round was just over 5 hours but well worth the time.

Willbrook Plantation

Played here on a windy day after reserving the tee time through MBGOLF.COM. Paid $32 to reserve the tee time and we were to pay the remainder upon arrival at the course. Our group had been playing courses in the Founders Group Co. Each receipt had a $10 off the rate if we showed the receipt at the pro shop prior to play. HOWEVER, the wonderful gentleman at Willbrook's pro shop would not apply this discount due to "booking our tee time online" when we inquired into this, another upstanding gentleman rushed out of an office, puffed up his chest and basically told us tough luck.

The course was in OK shape, but I wouldn't pay more than $50-60 to play here folks. There are nicer courses in the area with much friendlier staff!
Our group has elected not to return to this course for the fact of the rude pro shop staff.

Pawleys Plantation

Played here early morning to beat a weather front moving in.
Each player receives a bag of range balls (approximately 30) to warm up at the range prior to play. Range was in good condition and also has a chipping and putting area beside the range.
The course is currently in excellent condition, tee to green the course is plush other than the rough still being dormant.
Course can be challenging and has subtle nuances that playing multiple times would help recognize.
Our group will definitely be returning!

Jones Course

Played here on our way to Myrtle as a warmup course. Paid $59 and the guy in the pro shop told us it included their “amazing “ lunch buffet prior to our tee time. You get one trip to the buffet, that day they had a salad/cold bar and a hot bar that had mashed potatoes and rubbery chicken and a pork chop that rivaled shoe leather.
The bag drop guy informed us we had to walk and carry our bags to the range (approximately 175 yards) the range was average nothing spectacular.
The course is an ok layout but the greens were not receptive, and areas of them were dead. They appeared to be healthy, but they have been painted green. Pace of play was mediocre at best.
Our group has decided not to return to play at Sea Trail.

Booked a tee time through GolfNow (best rate) the day of about 2 hours before. Had an alert for aeration but figured I'd give it a try. Arrived an hour prior to my tee, paid in the pro shop which had a very large selection of items. I proceeded directly out to the range and checked in with the starter. I was a single and was paired with another single who had yet to arrive. Told the starter the sooner he could get me out there the better (dinner plans). The range was very nice, with lots of teeing grounds. Finished my warmup and still no sign of the other player and no other groups for me to be paired with, so I patiently waited for the other guy to arrive, he did so about 20 minutes prior to the tee time and the started rushed him onto the range and after maybe 20 balls and the starter pacing behind him he jumped in the cart. We played white tees as I have never played the course and he didn't get much time to warmup. The layout of the course is quite forgiving off the tee, but makes you think about your approach shots. Differing lengths of par 3s and water and sand can come into play on errant shots. Play was pretty quick for about 5 holes then we caught up to the groups ahead of us where we joined another 2some. When we made the turn, the other group went ahead without us and played through an elderly couple who had just stopped at the turn. Finished the round right at 4 hours. Can't address the amenities in the bar and grill as all I purchased was a sports drink, lots of drinking water on the course, however. Fairways were plush and the rough is penalizing in some circumstances. As for the aeration, my guess is that it was done quite some time ago as they were pretty much healed and rolled well. Overall, worth the rate I paid and would definitely play it again. Wish I would've picked up a souvenir ball marker.

Needs a ranger

The course was in very good condition, teed off at 11 and played the first 8 holes in a hour and a 20 minutes (3 golfers) we didn't have anyone ahead of us until we hit the 9th tee. The course is wide open to an errant tee ball, so we moved pretty quickly. We then proceeded to wait on every shot due to the course not having a roving marshal to make sure groups are allowing quicker players through. The total round took 4hrs and 10minutes! Luckily the course has ice and water dispensers along the way. However I feel the price tag on the course is a little on the high side.

I don't see what is so spectacular

Don't get me wrong, the course is a nice layout. Would I pay more than $40 to play here again? No! Greens were ok, some were a little beat up, fairways were mushy and we saw the drink girl twice in 18holes...

Holy Undulating Greens Batman!

Course isn't terribly long, but your approach shots must be laser sharp and a top-notch short game will pay dividends at their course. I feel that these greens are a little out of the realm of reality for the average golfer. One green has at least 7 ft of drop from the top tier to the bottom, if you find yourself putting or chipping down the slope, good luck!
