Tee boxes are ok some had dips . Fairways very good for this time of year with the rye to bermuda grass transition
Greens very good . No sand in bunkers . Hard dirt that is the only flaw

2nd hole under repair so it was shorten to par 3 and I have played this course numerous times from the blue tees and the blue tees on other holes were moved further back to make up for the shorter 2nd hole .so you could have the same total yardage

Greens really slow . Bathroom locked . no key or code to get inside . Some tee boxes lack grass . Better courses out there . Not up to standards for a Troon course

Was not expecting course to be in such great shape . Fairways had plenty grass Tee boxes lot of grass and level . Greens excellent ball rolled smooth no bumps and cut nice . Couple tricky pin placements but that is what is about , Excellent time and rebooked to go back out there . Thirty miles or more from the house but worth the drive and all in our group agreed to go back out next week

when golf is expensive in the winter this course is available to play at decent rate. You get what you pay for
If you stay in the fairway you are ok but off the fairway hitting off dirt or wood chips. Greens are the worst part of this course . Bumpy and painted and not much grass on them . Sand traps decent sand .

You live with the conditions and move onto other courses in the summer

Course has improved in last couple years. Little late starting no fault of the course . It was a frost delay.

How can people say this course is average . !st hole fairway flooded with water around the green allowing no shots to make it to the green . The other 17 fairways are water starved . Hitting fairway shots off dirt. The fairways are BROWN. It is like they scalped the fairways and are ready to over seed for the winter grass and it is only JUNE . Moving onto to the greens they are green but need cutting because they are so slow . Really have to wack your ball to get it moving toward the cup. . Tee boxes are so uneven . Need leveling . No cart person 105 degrees outside . The clubhouse and bar is closed Mon - Thurs . After playing this course you need a good stiff drink and the bar is closed . The person taking the bags and the starter were exceptional in their job. Overall I would not recommend this course till winter arrives and hopefully you can afford to play it .

Course going from rye to bermuda grasss brown spots and greens lighting fast

Let me start on the nice part of my experience . The course is in very good condition at least the back nine because that is all we seen.

The negative the course was greedy . They had a youth tournment at 11 clock and that held things up.
They scheduled another resident tournment and they were late getting started. The last group in the tournment had a 12:24 tee time . Our group had a tee off tee time of 12:28 . The course scheduled 4 minute tee times . We were 30 minutes late starting so we teed off at 1 clock and finished the back nine at 4 clock . At one point on the 16th hole a par 3 there were 5 groups waiting to tee off . I know we and the group behind us called the clubhouse to get a ranger out there and no one answered the phone . We finished the 18th hole and rather than follow this group to the 1st hole we asked if we could play the back nine again in hope of getting in the back nine before dark. Pace of play was a little slow again we were behind a husband and wife tournment until we reached the 16th hole again and 4 groups were waiting to tee off . It was 5:45 now and we decided to call it a day . It was not a good experince due to the course trying to get too many people on the course . Greed

Fairways and greens are in very good shape . Fairways are cut a little higher than the average course in Phoenix area . Nice rough around the greens making you chip your shot instead if using your putter when just off the green . Nice layout and played in under 4 hours

Great course , fairways excellent greens excellent ,bunkers good sand

If you like elevation change. this is the course for you .

You are continually hitting over washes and have to carry the ball off the tee box over desert brush

We played early in the morning and the grass and cart paths were wet . The tee boxes were bare of grass in some areas . The fairways and greens were in good condition . Would recommend the course

The greens were very bumpy due to punching the greens
