I was a guest of the person who booked this game and his was my first time playing this course. The staff was very friendly and gave helpful tips for playing the challenging greens, especially the island green. We had a good strong breeze that we had to take consideration, but otherwise the day was spectacular. We played through the 18 holes quickly… about 2 1/2 hours. Although it is a par 3, you won’t leave feeling that this course is too easy!

The course was good value for money but needs a little work. The wet weather has made it a little soggy in places and the greens were slow. I hear that the course has been purchased by the municipality and will be closed this summer for a renovation. I look forward to playing the course after the Reno.

The course was not that busy as this is the shoulder season. Since they didn’t feel they wanted to have a marshal we were treated to a 5hr 10min round. With no one enforcing pace of play a tedious 4-some two groups ahead ruined the day. I play this course five or six times per year, mostly in the Jan-Mar months. Pace of play is often an issue for one reason or another from overbooking to ineffective marshals.

I had heard so many great reports on this course and I finally got around to playing it this month ... twice. I do really like the course layout and the staff are fantastic. However, the bunkers are virtually unplayable. The sand has compressed (likely due to the record rainfall this winter) and is basically hardpan with a 1/2 inch of sand on that hardpan. They know it and are apologetic but you are paying a hefty price to play a course where the bunkers are really GUR.

This was my first time playing a course I had heard so much about. It exceeded my expectations. As great as the course was, the staff and service overall were the highlight. I brought a guest out who could not stop being impressed. The Classic Club is my new favourite in the desert.

This is one of the oldest if not the oldest course in the Valley. It is a fun flat shortish course in pretty good shape. It’s fun and feels like you’re back in the 50’s.
