The course was in great shape. Staff was friendly.
The course is tough. Lots of bunkers that you have to deal with which makes you have to work to make it to the green. Makes it fun.
The con about the course is the FLYS. No matter how much spray you put on you they seem to still be hungry. So, if i were to play it again I would do it in the winter months.

Knowing someone that works at the course has its perks at times. We had a foursome and we were ready to tee off on #1 when a twosome came blowing by use and skipped #1 to get in front of us. They didn't have the balls to ask if they could go in front of us. Needless to say the pace of play slowed down because of them. There was a foursome in front of them. We had to wait every hole due to them. Turned into a 5.5 hours round.
We watched them every hole and they pretty much sucked. They were hitting into houses and chunked the ball all of the time.
If you know someone at the course it's great. But, keep in mind that other people that have paid to play and you play for free. Be mindful of other players especially if you sucks at the game. Just be careful of freebie players.

This course is in great shape. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The pace of play was slow. Lots of people out with friends and having a great time on a well maintained course.
If you have the time go out and play the course. Great layout and very challenging for all levels.

This is my second time playing the course. I have to say that it is one of the best on Maui. Course has a great layout staff is friendly they will help you with any question or concern you may have.
The price to play was great and when i played 2 years ago it was the same price.
Not only great golf. Beautiful green , fairways and the views are awesome. Make sure to take your camera for some great pictures.
You will enjoy your round.

This is a great course. Layout is great. Lots of water that will make you want to go for it. However, laying up may be the way to go.
Staff is friendly and will do what they can to make your round go great.

Went to the course with a 10:30 tee time. Not knowing there was a tournament going on. However, we waited a good hour to start our round. The manager did offer drink to help on the wait.
We wouldn't of had to wait if they would of managed the tournament better. While we were waiting, people from the tournament were in the clubhouse talking to golfers that were waiting on tee time. Seamed to me that the group had the control not management.
So, if you make a tee time on a Saturday make sure they are NOT having a tournament.
At one point we had 4 groups waiting on a hole for tournament players. Even with an hour wait they still had slow play.
Course was in pretty good shap. However, players do not know how to fix ball marks on the greens.

The staff was fun and friendly. They made for a great experience. Course was very nice and the greens were rolling pretty good for just being punched 4 weeks ago. They did say that the greens will be punched again on the 1st of August. So, if you plan on playing call before you set tee time.

I have to start this review with the starter. He came out to the truck with cart and picked up clubs for us. To me its a great perk to get from a city course or any couse. I have played some high dollar courses and didn't get that type of service. He also had an awesome personality. Thank you!
The course was fun but at the same time a very challenging one. Rolling fairways at times would leave the ball below or above your feet to remind you to keep it in the middle of the fairway.
Green favored the Papago mountains to give you some tough reads of the greens. Greens were not fast due to lack of cutting them. By the looks of the greens that they just completed airiation.

Didn't know what to expect. Well I was amazed. Best par 3 course ever played. You had to be true wth your iron. Putter had to be on point. The views were awsome I have never played a course where it was all in a canyon. Off the tee you need to be accurate not much room for error on most tee's. I think the most challenging was the greens. The read of the green had to be on point or the ball would roll farther than planned.
The only thing that I would complain about was golfers that drink to much.. They would drive onto the greens with carts and drive circleS around them to irritate people and would sit at the green when complete so golfers would have to wait.
People like that make golfers look bad.
Did mention it to the Pro shop and hopefully they spoke to them.
If you have a chance to golf there , do it!!!

I'm from Arizona and I had been working in LA Mesa for a month. Wanted to play golf while I was here . No clubs, however, they did have Club rentals. $25 rental fee which wasnt to bad. You get what you pay for.
The guy behind the counter wasn't the friendliest person I have ever met. He should of had a cup of coffee.
I have to say the course was in pretty good shape. Green were great. Pace of play for a friday morning was pretty good. The price was great to play. Other than the guy In the pro shop. Staff was pretty friendly.
I would return and play again.

I have never thought that there was such a great course hiding in the Estrella mountains. From when I arrived to the course and into the pro shop the staff was friendly and helpful. The practice range was pretty nice and so were the putting greens. The course was great. Pretty much all of the holes had some great hazards that came into play. Greens were rolling fast and very challenging pin placements. All I have to say that I would recommend this course to all.

I have to say that the course was great. The course was not as beautiful as it could be because of the time of the year. I know during the summer months it will look as beautiful as it can be. Staff was friendly and would answer any question or concern we had. However, the pace of play really "sucked," as there were two 5 person groups in front of three 2 person groups. It was my understanding that these two groups play every Saturday and that they are members of the club. Being a member has its perks which is ok. But, they should of put the small groups in front of them. Waiting 10 minutes at every hole really makes for a long day. I think that course management should be looked at.
I would return and play again someday and make sure I don't play on a Saturday. If I do play Saturday it will be before 11:00 am.

First time playing a round here. First look I was like "WOW" greens and fairways were green.
The only bad thing I have say that the front 9 was pretty slow. Pack to many golf in a short period of time. Back 9 was great. Overall I have to say that it was a great course. Greens were rolling fast and true.

I went in not expecting very much. This is an old course and new it was going to show a lot of wear.I looked at the website and by the pictures it was an awesome looking course. Needless to say that the pictures did not show to be true.
Even though the course did not look like the pictures. I have to say it is a great fun course to work on accuracy and distance of your clubs. The greens were hard and fast. So, you had to have on control of your ball to make it do what you wanted. I have played many courses, even though it was not the most beautiful course in its own way it was gorgeous. If you want a course to work on your game this is the one to do it on. For what they charge to play it's well worth the money.

I have played this course a few times and every time it's a good experience. Pace of play has always been great.

This is a great course. My wife and I like to play golf together on Sundays. It's a great course to work on short game. We have lots of fun while playing. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens rolled true and fast.

First time playing this course. When I first arrived to the Pro shop the staff at the desk were ok. Not sure if they wanted to greet someone. Maybe having a bad day.... however, I was paired up with another single. We were sent out behind a four some that were taking longer than expected. Not sure if someone ask them to pick up the pace because after a few hole the waits were shorter.
The course was looking good until you get to the greens. Some golfers don't know how to fix divot. It makes for some difficult putting. We went on to the lakes course and "WOW" it was like we went to a different golf course. Fairways were green and the greens were beautiful and not to many divot holes. Great job greens crews. Over all it was a ok day of golfing. When the pair up up with someone that makes the game go great. You can't beat it.

I have always liked this course. The course is cared for. Greens roll true. Just wish more people would fix divot when hitting on greens. Fairways are nicely cut so you can get that extra 10 yards with a roll. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Prices are very reasonable to be able to bring friend to have a fun day of golf.

I had read reviews about this course and some were not to happy with it. So, I had to see for my self. I golf every Friday with the same group of friends. We play all over. We like to try new courses. Well, I came across Silverado and decided to try it. We all were very pleased with the views that we saw once coming up to the putting greens. If it looks this good here it must be great all over. It was, the fairways were green and cut nice the greens were rolling true. The layout was good. We usually walk most of the courses and glad we didn't walk this one. There was a big gap on a couple of holes that were at least a half mile.. it was a par 70 and was a challenge. Staff was helpful except for the guy in the pro shop in the morning. He was not friendly at all. He must of been having a bad morning. Oh well! Great course and would recommend it to all. Food at the club house was pretty good.

I have to say that the course was great. Fairways and greens looked great. Greens were rolling true. Staff was friendly and atentiv. My friend and I walked the course with it being a great day couldn't of asked for anything better. We had lunch in the club house and it was pretty good.
We started behind a foursome on carts that didn't know what cart path only ment. They were at very slow place for the first three holes and they finally asked use to play thru. Thanks guys.
