Shoal Creek was a decent course with some beautiful holes and some that were okay. Challenging course with tree lined fairways, although the fairways were wide enough that on most holes you had to work hard to find the bad stuff (I somehow managed to do that though). We played it following the KC Amateur tournament and could really tell - the greens were pretty beat up but the course crew was working hard to get them back up to speed. Fairways were nice - love zoysia grass!! I wouldn't say it was worth the $60 I paid, but it was a good one time experience. I would recommend it to friends to play. If you are there early in the morning - ask for the breakfast burrito - it was AWESOME!! Good luck at Shoal Creek!

Hidden gem outside the city! Play the twilight as it was only $26 after 3:30 and plenty of daylight to get in 18 holes. Wasn't that busy either. Loved the practice range...plenty of room and targets. Well kept course and outstanding fairways and greens - not that I found them often. Haha very fair course, but good challenges as well. Highly recommend playing here.

First time I have played this course. Actually stumbled upon it looking for another course. Played only the back 9 due to time issues with my family but was able to get on and play a quick mini round. Somehow got talked into playing the tips and didnt get too beat up. It has all you want and more. The fairways were in excellent shape with the ball sitting up clean. The greens were a little used and abused but I am guessing it saw its fair amount.of play from the number of spike marks left. Overall great course!

Six mile creek is a user friendly 9 hole course that is well maintained on a small budget. Still developing as a course, the fairways are wide and the greens are subtle. Greens can be fast but generally are putt able but there is break in every putt that must be read. Couple of interesting holes include 6 and 8...bomb away on 6 for birdie but consider yourself lucky to get a 4 on 8 unless you are a big hitter. The course could use anot her set of tees to complete the experience. Ladies have a big advantage off the tee but it is still golf and you have to make shots and putts. Come out and enjoy a relatively nice round of golf.

It doesnt take long to understand that this is a well kept public course that has members that pride themselves in caring for this place. Beautiful club house, great greens and cold beverages make this just a little more than a special place to play. Not real long but yoyou ve to be accurate off the tee to score well. Find your way to HGC and have a good time!
