Played Wolf Creek on Saturday and had a great day. Course is in surprisingly good shape for this time of year and greens were very good to excellent. Course is challenging but not overly so and can play very long depending on tee selection. We finished in 4 hours at prime time morning on Saturday which is excellent. Not a lot of amenities other than golf but all that you need. Will be back.

I had played course a couple of times before so I knew what to expect. The fairways were very wet because of overseeding but we were told that earlier so no surprise, we just played lift and clean. The greens were in good condition as was most of the course. One par 3 green was partially "under construction" but no real issue as it was still playable. Pace of play was excellent for a Saturday morning as we finished in 4 hours and 5 minutes. I had experienced slow play here before so this was a nice surprise. We paid around $60 to play on special and it was well worth that fee. Practice area, clubhouse and overall facilities are excellent. The course layout is great with lots of very interesting holes with nothing boring.

This course continues to be one of my favorites even though it kicks my butt most of the time. Excellent fairways, fast greens, thick rough in some places, uneven lies, it has it all. Played on a Sat morning and no delays with round completed in about 4 hours. Friendly staff and nice practice area. Only complaint is that hole # 16, a par 5 is not a great design in my opinion as most drives result in either an 80 yard layup or an awkward downhill lie to an uphill green with a waste area in between. Other than that a great course. Got a great $50 rate on Golfnow which was a bargain. Regular price on weekend of $90 is a little steep but not unreasonable.

Achasta is simply one of the better golf courses in North Georgia. Great layout, first class facilities, and good pace of play. The greens were a little long and soft the day we played as they were going to be punched on Monday; that was the only issue as the rest of the course was primo. I played lousy but still enjoyed the course and highly recommend. Not cheap but a fair price for this level of course.

Legacy on Lanier has been in my normal rotation for a long time. It is one of the most difficult shorter courses around. Holes 12-15 are a real challenge with water carries, wavy tilted greens, and some distance. This is a course that you really use every club in the bag and where placement is much more important than distance. There are lots of birdie chances on some holes and lots of big numbers than can strike on others. Very friendly staff, food, snacks, some beverages and range balls included which makes the price more reasonable. Pace of play is almost always excellent.

This is a great layout with a fairly high level of difficulty. The only reason I give this course a 4 instead of a 5 is that the greens are still a little new and a little too firm and fast. Lots of hills and elevation changes, fairly generous fairways, interesting holes and polite staff. This course has come a long way in the last couple of years and is nearing it's potential. 8 and 9 are too of the toughest back-to-back holes anywhere in the ATL area. Good value also.

This has become one of my favorite courses on HHI and a great value for the $$$. Course is in excellent condition with great greens and challenging rough. I find this course plays more difficult than it's rating because like Harbour Town Golf Links you can hit a good drive in the fairway and still have a tree hanging out in front of you making you adjust your shots. This is also true on many of the tree boxes depending on where the tee is placed. Also the rough is very thick in some places. Also with early tee times you are hitting directly into the sun on the first 2 holes. That said I always book this course when visiting the island, sometimes more than once.

This course has improved drastically since the "Sea Marsh" days and the layout is excellent. The course is in primo condition except the greens are rock hard...much firmer than the Ocean Course that we played the day before. Maybe it's the newer greens that need to grow in a little but it made front pin placements nearly impossible to reach. Otherwise it meets the standards one would expect from Sea Pines Resort.

Year in and year out this is still one of my favorite courses on HHI. Course is in excellent condition, greens running true and good bunkers. Staff always friendly and everything first rate. I almost hate that it is going to be re-designed but will just have to wait and see what the end result is. Fairly generous fairways and usually a wind in your face on the last couple of holes.

I play Spivey often with friends that are members. The course is usually in very good condition with excellent greens. I find this to be a great course because you can either challenge the course with the driver and risk the many OB's on the course or play for position with shorter clubs. One of the courses where you can really use every club in the bag. Staff is very friendly, the restaurant is cheap with excellent food and it's easy to get to from I-75. Also a 19th bonus hole to finish bets when needed. Great bang for the buck!!

The Woodlands course is a very good layout and one where you can use every club in the bag. There are a few tight driving holes and lots of up and downhill lies. The greens are good but with many ball marks and the sand traps were in awful condition because of the recent rains. Tee boxes and fairways are excellent. A little pricy at rack rate but a first rate facility overall.

The King and Prince Golf Course is an excellent Island course in perfect condition. The fairways are surprisingly wide and greens are pretty straightforward and roll well. Most are well bunkered. The biggest difficulty is the wind off the ocean, especially on the back nine, which is scenic and more interesting than the front nine. We viewed gators, deer as well as other wildlife. Staff is super friendly and good food at the club. A little pricy at full rate but golf now price was a bargin. A must play on St. Simons.

Lakemont is one of my favorite Atlanta courses and one that I play often. The first 6 holes are some of the most beautiful views in Atlanta golf. The course is a good but fair layout and one that rewards good course management. The course had just opened from being closed a while for maintenance and honestly, they should have kept it closed for another couple of weeks to get the greens in better shape. Many of the greens were unputtable especially on the front nine. The rest of the course was in good shape for the time of year. I'll be back but will either wait for the greens to grow in and heal a little better or just play Stonemont. The staff at the club is first rate as is the pro shop and restaurant.

I play this course often as it is a real value. A few of the greens are below standard but the overall layout is challenging with very few boring holes. You use every club in the bag and if the wind is up the back nine can be extremely challenging. The staff (Joe) is super friendly but there is no real clubhouse or real food on the premises so it's all about golf. As a twosome we have often played in 3 hours on weekend mornings (early).

Excellent golf course. Nice variety of holes/distance. Greens with lots of rolling breaks and never a straight put. Flat stick will make or break score on these greens. Can use every club in the bag.

Excellent golf course. Not overly long but lots of water and some interesting tee shots. Course in excellent condition, greens a little slower than what I'm used to but putting well. Excellent views on many holes.
