Get what you pay for

This course is old and tired. Greens in very poor condition. Fairway grass is sparse as well. If you want a cheap round and want to play quickly, this is the course for you if conditions of the course don’t matter.

Discounted rate is misleading

Played course on discounted rate teeing off at 3 pm for 18 holes. Sunset 6:20 pm. With only 3:20 minutes to play 18 had to try to play fast, which made round feel rushed. Had to skip a hole to get in front of slow group to play 17 out of 18. In my opinion course is not worth cost of $160 for late pm tee time discounted from $250.

Fast Play

If your number 1 factor is to play fast, this course is for you. We played in 4 hours. Did not fell rushed. Very little water on course and because holes are frequently side by side it is hard to lose balls. Grass is sparse and conditions are below average compared to other public courses in area. You can play equal below average courses cheaper.

Worth the Fee

This is a private course that is allowing public play. Other than the tee boxes, the course was in excellent shape. The tee boxes were full of divots.
The grass is more like you get in the North and is therefore more enjoyable to play if you are from the North. Pass of play was below average with a 5 hour round. There was a funky hole on each 9 we played which was North and South. Avoid the North course if you can. The funky hole was shaped like a U. If you can stand the pace of play and the couple funky holes I would recommend it.

Wide Fairways

We played this course 3 times over last 3 years. It has been consistent in conditions and pace of play. If your coming from the North it’s a good place to play your first round because the landing areas off the tee are more generous than the typical Florida courses. Enjoyable to play.

This is a classic old Hilton head course. The rough is the old-school Bermuda grass that is difficult to play out of. Pace of play was excellent. Generous fairways. A good course for a mid to high handicap player.
