Putting is almost half your strokes, if you can’t get greens right you might want to reconsider what the property is used for. Last played about 3 years ago and never wanted to return because they had lost their greens. Today I found that now with new greens a third of them had horrible problems. Yes you can avoid some of it with hole placement but golf still happens from bad spots. You ask for top dollar, but aren’t providing the equivalent conditions. Second time there. Second time cart path only and so swampy they should have issued muck boots. IF I ever try going back it will be summer and a dry spell.

Very disappointed.... Drove 180 miles one way to play with a friend at a nice place only to find 2 holes closed and they should have closed the others as well. First... who plays 16 holes? Second, how is golf hard when EVERY hole (I think) has multiple huge areas that have been re-sodded and you're told to move the ball you hit into the junk into drop zones in the fairway and most of the time closer to the hole or the fringe of the green. Tell us before we pay what conditions we are going to be playing in.... and don't feel justified by saying you reduced the green fee by 2/18'ths.... Greens were great.... and I'm sure the course will look and be outstanding once everything is finished and grown in....... but in the meantime :(

Played Egwani for about 3 years now and though I’m a member elsewhere, this course is probably one of the best in the greater Knoxville area. Greens are fantastic, fast, and true. Tricky if you’ve hit it to the wrong spot. Water if your long game isn’t on, Bermuda rough tough but fair if you’ve missed the fairway. Challenging course but has great scoring opportunities. True fun test of golf any day you’re on the course. Course is immaculately maintained. Kudos to the maintenance and management crew.

Wonderful course, wonderful setting. Smokey Mountains continuously in view, super weather, great golf deal. It's no wonder I bit off more than I could chew today. Chose to play the Blue Tees @ approx 6600 yards and should have known better after needing Driver + 3 wood to get to #1 for a round opening par. The rest of the day I was challenged by the deeper than I prefer bermuda rough (which is where I normally spend the majority of my time). Today was different though. I hit 10/14 fairways and fell in love with them. The ball sits up so perfectly in the fairways here. Not sure how they get them so manicured, but Kudos.... Keep it up. The Glass table tops were something else....(I'm talking about the Greens). They were soft and receptive, they rolled so true....but if you missed the hole, they continued to roll and roll and roll. Lightning! Guess they used Rain-X on those glass table tops. I would love to know the Stimp meter reading for the day.... just to say I've done it. Only 3 putted twice, but also missed some short ones because I'm not used to lagging that softly. The ones that went in though gave me a solid feeling of pride and accomplishment. The course was impeccable today.... my game was not. I still loved and enjoyed the round tremendously. I highly recommend this course and establishment. Don't be shy though.... be timid, tee it forward. Give yourself a fair fighting chance. Again, a Shout Out to Sevierville Golf's Maintenance Staff (and Pro who I got to meet). I'll be back!

Took advantage of a great price on GolfNow for a well known course and drove almost an hour to get there. Had played the River course the last several times going there and was always impressed with the greens and their speed and receptiveness. Unfortunately this time the experience was less than desirable. A little disappointed that it was cart path only, but realized real quick why. The course was so wet you literally sank walking to your ball. Finding a spot to hit from outside casual water became difficult and of course that also meant that greens had not been mowed (not sure for how long). Greens were bumpy/fuzzy and extremely slow (though the chipping/putting green at the clubhouse were in much better condition). Believe the course should have remained closed when it was this wet.

I've played this course many times and will continue to as it is a very good track to play. Course has made terrific updates and renovations, just a bit pricey for normal rates thus tend to use GolfNow for the better deals. Only issue I seem to have with this course is in the the daily setup and hole locations. Today, the putting and chipping greens were in fantastic shape running close to 10-11, but when I got on the course they hadn't been mowed in a while and were quite bumpy and slow and still have a lot of clumps of foreign grasses sprouting up in the new hybrid bermuda. Combine that with the 2-3 hole locations that are unfair or spiteful and that makes for a frustrating experience for the weekend golfer. Disappointed somewhat as I expect more especially on the weekends from a course that wants to be one of the elite in the area.

Played an afternoon round in some weather to prepare for a tournament round as I hadn't played here before. Managed an online deal that made it almost like a steal as this course challenges you and makes you play smart and good. The front nine were more forgiving than expected after viewing the websites flyover video. Then the back nine wakes you up. Great scenery, beautiful water, creeks, mini dam and Waterfall, an 80-90 yard green...great for a nature walk, but with clubs and a (few) white balls it can be intimidating. Loved the layout and the course. We won't talk score this time, but I will always welcome an opportunity to play Mirimichi again....
