Checked in 20 minutes early. Hit a few range ball. Went the first Tee at appropriate time. Two groups waiting to Tee off but they had NO Tee time! Worked that out uncomfortably. Lots of blind Tee shots. Greens were punched but no mention. Stopped at the clubhouse on the turn for a beverage. Double bourbon and ginger. The gal has been there forever and served me a very watered down drink. Order a beer if you want a drink. No Marshall’s at all and maintenance guys are Hispanic and don’t turn weedeaters or mowers down to idle while you are putting, chipping, or driving the “dirt way”. Never again.

Made a tee time 3 weeks in advance. Was told the cost would be 39.00. Was told the greens were area red several days prior. Arrived to find out that an additional 20.00 PER PERSON cart fee had not been included in my quote. Grumbled but paid it. Warmed up. Tee’d off only to find the greens were grooved AND heavily sanded. I mean like going to the beach! Much better golf for less Monet at Callahans or Arrowhead. Fairways is off limits now.

Very innovative device on the flagsticks. No hands needed to retrieve ball. A few bumps on the concrete cart paths......they will be fixed this year. Beautiful Views from every hole. Watched the resident bald eagle swoop down within 100 yds and pull a fish from the lake! Awesome! Greens are pretty hard so they don’t “hold” unless approach shot has elevation. Lots of bunkers to avoid....overall a very fair course and terrific staff. Will play again!

Went as a single from GN to be hooked up with a threesome. Got there well ahead of tee time and was informed that the three some was now a foursome and they had left already. OK. No boggy. Teed off and that’s where things went south. Literally a 5 some on home 4, a foursome in front of them and a single, a twosome, and God knows what else. Everyone of the players were in their 80’s, took FOREVER to get from cart to cup and back again. Finally just started skipping holes and never went back to finish.. No Marshall. A waste of $ and a day.

Greens had been punch and sanded....no buggy. Fairways are greening up and very playable. Great staff!

Great staff and pro shop. Greens were fast enough for a challenging round. Wide fairways with just enough hazards.

Terrific fairways and greens. Difficult uphill drives and approaches but on the other hand extra distance on the downhill holes. Greens are faster than I’m used to so it took a few holes to get acquainted. Definitely worth the 43.00 I paid for the round. Not sure I’d pay more than that. Hole 18 was very blah.

Greens are faster than Summertime play and you’ll get long rolls on the fairways. Sunshine and 48 degrees and all is good.

Everything about LA is perfect. From Kevin the Pro welcoming you, the cart guys, the putting, chipping, bunker, driving range, all excellent! Hit it straight and you will be rewarded. Hard fade or draw and get out another ball. Bar and food ok: staff great. Wildlife is deer, turkey, wild boar, and one annoying barking dog (hellow owner!) on 17. Worth the drive!

Greens were sanded but still very playable. Fairways were cut nicely. Always a challenging round with new carts (USB ports!) and great farm type scenery.

Greens are fast and more level than they look. Difficult to judge distance unless you have electronics since the 100\150 markers are camouflaged. Fairway rough and greens collars are still 3-5” thick so hunting for that errant shat can be frustrating. Hate the front 9, love the back 9. On 18 tee off between the oak and the pines on the left and you may have an eagle!

No info at booking time that the greens had been aerated two weeks prior. Bump bump bump. Great views and nice layout. A bit thick on the Bermuda rough but I'll be back!

Unless you are good enough to keep the ball on the fairway or the greens it's an egg hunt anywhere else. The rough is 6" deep in spots and you can walk right over the ball and never see it. I'm told that it's a "concern that will be addressed". Better course a few miles west IMO for right now.

the course may be somewhat challenging but even if you get on the green, use your driver to get the ball in the cup. ridiculous. oh yes 25.00 for holes

Fun layout but man the rough off the fairways and around the greens are so thick you will never find your ball. Had a great drive on 18, 2nd shot on the collar. Went down to look and could NOT find the ball. The guy behind me got a bit impatient so I just gave up the birdie. I know we haven't had a lot of rain but this is the 2nd time for the experience. Frustrating to say the least..

Great round of golf for the money - a Wednesday. Lot's of new home construction in the area so heavy equipment and nail guns at work. Only real complaint is around the greens. It's like a rough! You can be 5 foot off the green and never see you ball in the thick bermuda. I'd play again for 10 but never weekend or normal rates. Thanks Golf Now!

A bit of a drive to Calhoun, GA but if you are in the area this course is well worth the time and money. Almost a Southern California style course without the palm trees or eucaliptis trees. I walked away with a smile on my face and saw not one piece of trash anywhere on the course. And a 6 pack is 10.00!! Enjoy!
