Getting Remodeled

Great golf course in the making. They are going under renovations right now so you can't play the front nine, and you can only play 7 or 8 holes of the back nine. When the course is finished, I think it will start getting much better reviews.

The practice area could use a little work too. Very short range for long hitters (only around 250 yards). They have a nice chipping area, but the flags you are chipping onto aren't on a green its more of a rough/fairway type of grass.

The sand traps are a kind of hard reddish sand. They play just like normal sand traps however, and I found them much easier to get out of. I saved par twice from the sand traps.

All in all, this course has great potential, they know it, and they are working on it.

Lovely Course. You better be good out of the sand.

This course is one of my favorites and that is because its got the whole deal. Good food, good people, good practice area, and layout. The course is somewhat challenging, and requires a very strategic level of play. There are holes that may require you to leave the driver in the bag off of the tee so as to not hit it in the woods. Especially for the longer hitters. I average around 295 and got into some trouble for going to straight and too far.

Best place to play in Milledgeville

Little Fishing Creek Golf Course is an excellent course overall. The greens are kept in more than reasonable shape. The course has a challenging layout that is guaranteed to swallow some of the slicers/hookers alive. If you want to play well on this course you need to either hit straight, or control your slices and hooks. The practice green is large and nice. You can chip from around 20 yards away before the club house tells you that you need to come back closer to the practice green.

The driving range is fun but short, only 250 yards, and the grass there is hit or miss.

The only problem I have with this golf course is SOME of their staff. It is hit or miss when it comes to who is working that day. There are 2 gentlemen there who are disrespectful towards younger golfers, but everyone else is very pleasant with me when I come in.
