Played On 10/17/2020'Even with a discount not with the money
I have played this course many times from the tips(6800 + yards), today’s experience was horrific. The tee boxes barely had grass, uneven, holes, muddy, and some tee boxes no longer existed. With 4 or 5 tee boxes typically per hole barely 1 tee box was playable and as a consequence many of the holes had multiple tee markers together. In addition to the horrible tee boxes was soggy and muddy fairways. Many fairways not have had the grass cut. Speaking of cut, the greens were rolling maybe a 7 or 8. They were so slow and shaggy.
All in all, even though we received a discount because pro shop said the course had not recovered from aeration, still not worth money.
Bali Hai Golf Club
Played On 05/11/2018Bad gamble - not worth the money
The. course conditions were terrible. Spots on the green, bunkers were so very thin and devoid of sand. Course was over watered and caused mud balls in fairway.
Skywest Golf Course
Played On 07/04/2013The greens appear that they have not been cut for several days.
The greens appear that they have not been cut for several days. There was not a difference between fairway and greens.
Resort at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort
Played On 12/29/2012This course was not worth the money
The course had a horrible driving range that all grass stalls were mud. The chipping area was not easy accessible and had standing water in the area. The bunker was very muddy as well. As for the course (Resort) , it was saturated at places and standing water. There was graffiti on two of the greens on the back 9 holes. There was lots of bird waste on the course and heavy smell of ammonia near the water on many holes. As for the greens, most all holes had non repaired ball marks.
Mission Hills - Gary Player Course
Played On 12/26/2012Excellent and difficult course
The course is in great shape. Manicured greens and fairways. Difficult but fair test of golf. The practice facility is nice with driving area, chipping area, sand area, and putting area. The practice green was a little beat up but enough square feet of it to practice with good conditions. The course provides a yardage book which is helpful for first timers. Only downside was a walker, i was forced to sign a cart agreement.
Desert Dunes Golf Course
Played On 12/25/2012The course was a fair test, but some pin locations were not fair.
Overall the course played well. The front nine is all desert while the back nine is more parkland style with some desert mixed in. The greens are fast and tricky. The course setup when i played was very difficult on a number of holes with the pin locations. The course hosted a Canadian Tour event and i can see why with the possible pin locations and difficulty.
