Coldwater Golf Club
Played On 03/13/2023Couldn't Stop
As a high handicapper, I thought the course was challenging enough, yet fun to play. Overall the course was in decent shape.
The only issue I had was with the cart. The cart had no brakes and the engine did not shut off when I did manage to stop. I had to turn the key off. Conversely, the engine would start when turned the key on, not when I stepped on the accelerator.
Traded in for a better cart at the turn. Starter was helpful in switching carts and explained that they had "supply chain problems" getting repair parts, but the whole fleet looked pretty old.
Overall, I would rate it as a good value and a good course. I would play it again.
Dobson Ranch Golf Course
Played On 03/08/2023Friendliest Course in Arizona
Dobson Ranch lives up to its advertising as "the friendliest course in Arizona". Staff were very friendly and helpful - from the person at the sign-in desk, to the card attendant, to the starter. The ranger carried it one step further, delivering chocolate chip cookies on the fairway to #10. The course was in the best shape of the three courses we played. It may not be challenging for low handicappers, but I would go back.
Shell Point Golf Club
Played On 03/18/2020Good Value - Good Course
The course is in very nice condition and enough of a challenge for a high handicapper like me. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had booked a second round that was canceled because of the course closing due to the Coronavirus. I will definitely try to book again next year.
