Harmony Golf Preserve
Played On 12/26/2015Hidden Gem
Excellent course for any level player. Beautifully landscaped and well maintain. Very long! 6500+ from the white tees.
Hawk's Landing Golf Club
Played On 12/24/2015Great Experience
Lots of water!!! Must find the fairway or be prepared to buy balls from beverage girl. Play #4 conservatively; it's very difficult. One of the better resort courses in O-town.
Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
Played On 10/10/2015Best Course at WDW
I believe LBV is the best course on Disney property. The oldest of the course but well maintained and fun to play. Whines through several of Disney's resorts. Several spots can be sloppy after a rain storm.
Beverage cart doesn't move around the course; located with the starter.
Shingle Creek Golf Club
Played On 05/25/2014Resort Course
This course is usually out of my price range because it's a resort course sitting near Disney. However I got to play recently because the course is aerated and prices were cut significantly.
That being said, the course is very nice and the staff was more than helpful. The fairways are wide and well maintained. When missing the fairways the rough is very short making it easy to play from.
The greens are straight forward and easier to read than other local course. There is water on 16 out of 18 holes with a couple of forced carries. The beverage cart gets around often but you can expect to pay resort prices on everything.
Overall, I was impressed with the course and will make an effort to play once a year.
East at Grenelefe Golf & Tennis Resort
Played On 05/18/2014Course With Potential
This course has a ton of potential but is only in average condition. Tee boxes need the most help but the entire course could use manicuring. Worth the "Golf Now" price but I would not pay the winter rates.
Green Valley Country Club
Played On 03/02/2014Average Course
Average course but worth the money. Greens were incredibly fast and difficult. Tee box and fairways need a little help.
Wedgewood Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/01/2014Average Course
Wedgewood is an average course and great for beginners, hackers, and junior golfers. Everything about the course is average from the pro shop and driving range to the golf carts.
The course was very wet after some heavy rains and several holes should have been cart path only. No starter caused some delays but the pace was about 4 1/2 hrs.
I did see several alligators so be careful when getting balls out of the water.
Cypresswood Golf & Country Club
Played On 01/04/2014Very Busy
Cypresswood is a good little course for the money. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens where in good shape.
Pace of play was slow; lots of retirees...
Providence Golf Club
Played On 12/26/2013Central Florida Gem
This little course is a real gem hidden just several miles from Reunion. Greens are big and the ball roles nicely. Fairways are wide and in great shape. There are four tee boxes to test accuracy and distance. Skip all the expensive courses around the area and play is great course.
Bartow Golf Course
Played On 12/21/2013Good Little Course
This is a typical small town municipal course. The course was in good shape considering the number of people playing. Tee boxes needed some work but the fairways and greens where in decent shape.
Camelia/Boganvilia Golf Course at Cleveland Heights Golf Club
Played On 12/15/2013Surprising Nice
For a municipal course, Cleveland Heights was in good shape and fun to play. My only complaint was few golfers took the time to rake the bunkers and fix their divots on the green. This course has tons of potential to be great but the number of players which are pumped through weekly just keep it average.
Highlands Reserve Golf Club
Played On 12/5/2013Nice Surprise
Highland Reserve is a nice little course located several miles off I-4 in Central Florida. From the moment I arrive the staff treated me with top notch and friendly service. Although there is a lot of work going into the course, the fairways and greens were in nice condition. The starter seemed to monitor tee times correctly allowing for a good pace of play.
The course is designed to challenge your game but still easy enough so you can enjoy the day. There is water provided on both sides of the course but only one restroom.
I recently moved to the area and this could be my new home course. Highland Reserve will not disappoint you.
Links of Sandpiper
Played On 11/30/2013This course needs some work; greens are in terrible condition.
Typical retiree golf course located in the middle of a mobile home park. The starter had trouble moving around easily so there was little-to-no supervision on hole #1. By hole #4 the golfers were stacking up and it got very crowded.
The entire course needs work but especially the green. No beverage cart or water on the course. I would recommend this course for beginners and hackers but if you're looking for a nicer, challenging course this one is not what you are looking for.
The Emerald Golf Club
Played On 10/18/2013This course has excellent greens...
Nice course which is well maintained and a value for the money. Greens are new and in excellent condition, fairways and tee boxes are in good condition as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Bear Trail Golf Club
Played On 09/08/2013Long and Slow
One of the better courses in eastern North Carolina. However, everyone wants to walk and the course is long so things can get very slow. Beautiful layout which is a ton of fun to play but have 5 hrs to get through the course.
Course members get preferred (morning) tee times so have lots of water with you in the afternoon...
North Shore Country Club
Played On 08/04/2013Fun Course
Good course for the money paid. Course has a unique layout with plenty of risk=reward holes. Lots of water and a few house so "hit them straight"...
Disney's Palm Golf Course
Played On 5/26/2013This course is challenging but fun...
This course is challenging and difficult at times, with lots of bunkers and water on many holes. The course was in excellent condition from the tee box to the greens, but what else should be expected from a course which hosted many PGA events.
There are signs on most holes listing players and describing special rounds they played in past years. Several holes list Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and other players like Vijay Singh, and Davis Love III.
This course has nice features likes GPS in carts, drinking water near several tee boxes, and a fully stocked beverage cart which seemed to be around several times on each side.
Finally, watch out for the seven foot, three legged alligator around hole 17...
Brandywine Bay Golf Club
Played On 4/27/2013This course needs a lot of work. Fairways and greens are in terrible condition.
This course is good to play if green fees are $25 or less. I would not play this course for the regular green fee of $40...
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 12/28/2012Rolling Hills
Beautiful and fun course for the money. Weather was prefect for December and the course was in good shape. Most holes have rolling hills so having the ability to hit shots from awkward stance is a premium.
Schalamar Creek Golf Club
Played On 12/26/2012Retirement Course
Course is located in a retirement community so no one is in a hurry. Fairways are narrow and the entire course is tight. Greens are average and the staff was friendly. Good place to play for the money but have 41/2 to 5 hrs to get through the course.
