Nothing special

Knew what I was getting myself into. Typical Staten Island course. Course is run poorly. They let singles go out one after another. One dude was so high I’m pretty sure he’s still laying out on 15 fairway. Wish they would manage the course like jersey

Not the worst

Played this course a few times now. Design is pretty cool. Course conditions are decent. Greens very slow. Tee boxes and fairways are just ok. Starter has the personality of a wet paper bag. Played the front 9 in just under 2 hours. Not a bad course to go get some swings in.

Pretty good

The course was in good condition. The fescue wasn’t as long as it has been in the past. Course played pretty easy without the tall fescue, it’s relatively short with 3 par 3’s on the front and 2 on the back. Got out on time and played a 4 hour round. I’m not sure it’s worth $82 on the weekend.

Torture

Played here yesterday. 5 1/2 hour round. I know people pay money and want to play golf but taking 3 tee shots on every hole just isn’t right. There were no rangers to be found. Course is in decent shape, better than any other course on Staten Island, but $77 to play and add to that a 5 1/2 hour round makes it torture. Go to jersey.

Not bad

Pros: course was in pretty good condition. Greens were in good condition just very slow. Fairways and tee boxes were ok. The pace of play was good. Finished in under 4 hours. It’s a short course, some gimicky holes.

Cons: more than one group with terrible etiquette. Some assh$le picked up my tee shot which was about 5 yards off of the fairway. I guess he couldn’t resist getting a brand new pro v1 for free. He got an ear full. IF ITS NOT YOUR BALL LEAVE IT THE F$#% ALONE.
Another genius shanks his tee shot onto our fairway, it happens. Not a big deal. But instead of letting us tee off he stands in front of his ball for 8 minutes while we’re waiting to tee off. I don’t understand who taught these guys golf.

Overall not a bad day. Not sure it’s worth the distance for me.

Horrible

Course is in terrible shape. The whole entire course. For this of you who don’t understand, the greens were bumpy and slow. The fairways were dried and burnt. The bunkers were filled with Weeds and rocks.
It’s a crime that they charge over $70 to play golf on this course.

Boring

Pros: course was in decent shape. The greens were in good condition. Some of the greens were so undulating it was almost as if you were playing mini golf.

Cons: even though you can’t use pro shop for anything during covid it hasn’t been updated since nam. (Vietnam). Staff definitely not welcoming. Course was very boring. A lot of the holes were alike. Very easy course. Wide open. Almost impossible to get in trouble on this course. Will not be playing here again.

Not bad

Got to the course and was told golf now screwed up and double booked every tee time. After a brief talk with the course attendant he was nice enough to fit us in. He was extremely understanding and helpful.
Course is in very good condition. It’s not a very long course but it will challenge most golfers.
The round took 2:39. And the golf carts now have gps. I will definitely play here again.

Just ok!

Played here on 11/27. Course was in the shape you expect it to be in for November. This course isn’t too challenging, good course for beginners. It’s almost impossible to lose a ball. I think they are crazy still charging people summer rates to play this course this time of the year. If you can get a good deal on golf now it’s worth it just to get out. Otherwise do not pay over $60 to play here in the winter

Not worth the price

Played here on Thursday 11/21/19 at 745 am. This is my first time playing this course. I was disappointed that it cost $67 to play on a weekday in November. The course itself was in good condition. Greens were quick and undulating. Course is wide open. You can spray it left and right without getting into too much trouble. I wouldn’t recommend playing here for this price especially in winter.

Very disappointed

My first time playing this course. After reading the reviews I was expecting this course to be on par with the courses in ocean city Maryland. That is not the case. I’m not sure what courses the people reviewing this play, but this course was not in good condition. Fairways were a mess, bunkers are awful and the greens were just ok. No one replaces ball marks on the greens or divots in the fairway. Having said all that, the course has potential and can be a challenging course. I would play it again but would not pay $100.

I wouldn’t recommend this course.

Course has tremendous potential And that’s the only positive things I have to say unfortunately. Pretty cool layout but course conditions are terrible. Greens are the slowest greens I’ve ever played on. It’s nearly impossible to putt. Fairways are beat up and dry spots all over.
