Shadow Lakes Club
Played On 06/19/2016very good greens but sand traps unplayable
I've not been there in a while but heard that the greens, which are critical to me for good golf, were in very good shape. They rolled near perfectly which is why I would go back. We took drops for sand shots in the unplayable green bunkers (1x) but played fine out of fairway bunkers. Staff inside was great as you sign up at the bar. Glad we played it!
Deer Ridge Golf Club
Played On 12/29/2014whites please
The green were good but there were too many golfers sent. Also, too many of them were playing the wrong tee boxes (blue and even black), slowing down play. It's hard these days for courses to maintain pace under these conditions with people overestimating their talents. Not sure what the answer is but a marshal might inquire then suggest the tee to be used but that would inflame the egos of some people... it's a tough part of the business.
Callippe Preserve Golf Course
Played On 11/05/2014A shame. Decided to give it a try again
Locals pay so little to play that it gets beat up and you have new golfers, clueless about basic things like raking traps, repairing ball marks and being aware of golfers behind them. We have left before finishing because of near 6 hour rounds and ran into darkness this time with a NOON start time. Granted it was daylight savings but the sun set was 5:15. So much that I could like about this course except the way it is run. BTW the water issue has hit them hard. Look on Google Earth. It appears to be current.
Dublin Ranch Golf Course
Played On 7/22/2013too many singles
play took longer than expected because of too many singles and families so while it is nice, it became frustrating to play for a par 63 course that would have been quick to pay otherwise
