Phillips Park Golf Course
Played On 04/05/2024Solid
Phillips Park is solid. Course conditions are always good, staff is friendly. This course is not overly long or difficult. After several days of rain, parts of the course were soggy. Carts were restricted to the path, so walkers had an advantage,
Atlantic National Golf Club
Played On 03/14/2024Pleasant Surprise
I had seen this course listed on Golf Now, but there were a couple courses higher on my list to play. It was also a longer drive from my resort. But, it had a desirable tee time. I actually went the wrong way from the driving range and bypassed the starter, on the way to the first tee. The greens were quick, but it was easy to adjust to their speed. The GPS on the cart was nice. The course was challenging, and the GPS helped for a first time player. Only quibble was that about 6 of the par 4s seemed to be similar - doglegs with the second shot over water. We played in just under 4 hours which we thought was pretty good.
Madison Green Country Club
Played On 03/13/2024Enjoyable Round of Golf
First time playing Madison Green. The course layout was very good. Great value. On the back side, there were many spots with no grass but that's not unusual for a Florida golf course. I'll play this course again.
Klein Creek Golf Club
Played On 11/07/2023Klein Creek always delivers
For early November, the course was in good condition. The blue and white tees were set together. There was a 5-some ahead, but they let us play through. We played in 3:20, which is an ideal pace.
Tamarack Golf Club
Played On 10/12/2023Cart Path only
It rained in the morning, the course had some puddles, and it was wet at the start. However, the course seemed to be drying out. It was cart path only, so I chose to walk. However, I saw people in carts ignoring that directive. I played as a single in 3 hrs. I wasn't able to catch the twosome in a cart in front of me, and the single in the cart behind me never got close enough, although I would have let him play through. There was evidence of many trees on the course being removed.
Klein Creek Golf Club
Played On 09/05/2023Klein Creek is solid
I played in a league at Klein Creek years ago, the course conditions are always good. It is a well maintained course. Check in was easy, the starter was friendly.
Seven Bridges Golf Club
Played On 05/03/2023Seven Bridges Tests Your Game
Seven Bridges is always in good shape. Still some areas need to grow out but it's early in the season. It's a tough test of golf, your game has to be on. Marshall Bob L was helpful, especially when I had dropped a headcover.
Thank you for your feedback! We hope to see you out on the course again soon.
Fresh Meadow Golf Course
Played On 05/24/2020OMG Pace of Play
Illinois is under restrictions - twosomes walking, tee times 15 minutes apart. The group ahead of us took 50 minutes to play the first two holes. Are you serious? They let us play through on 7, but with 15 minute gaps we shouldn't be close to them. We played 7, 8, 9 in good time, and finished the front in 2:00 which was pretty goodconsidering the first two holes took almost an hour. We proceeded to 10 and then played quickly. Then, we hit another hole. The group ahead was slow, but the group ahead of them barely had a pulse. We waited ten minutes on every tee. The time for the back was 2:40. PLAYING IN TWOSOMES!!!!!! 4:40 in TWOSOMES.
Now, part of the problem was that the rough was 6-8". Any ball in the rough was lost. I saw the group ahead buying Noodles before their round - I found most of them. You don't have PGA players on your course. Cut the rough!!!!
Village Greens of Woodridge
Played On 10/06/2019Shaggy Course
I was first on the course, and saw them cutting the greens. The greens were very good. However, the tees and fairways were very shaggy. Now, we've had a lot of rain but it didn't seem that the tees have been mowed in a while.

Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 05/22/2019The Home of 5 1/2 hour rounds
Sanctuary has a great layout. However, every year, I endure a 5 1/2 hour round here and that's it for the year. I don't care if you play the course 5 times a week, that doesn't give you the right to play as slow as you want. Actually, the round started well. We played the first four holes in 44 minutes. Then, we played the last 14 in 4:45. Think about that for a mirute. Some rules. 1. If the group ahead tells you at the turn that it's going to get slow, maybe they are the problem. 2. If you can't reach the fairway, maybe move up a tee or two. 3. Don't sit in your cart watching one player hit. Prepare to hit while another player is hitting his shot. 4. We saw marshalls all day long. Not sure what their job is because monitoring pace of play isn't one of their duties.
PGA WEST Pete Dye Dunes Course
Played On 05/01/2019Some great holes, done soso
Not the best course I've played in the area. I would not pay the book rate here, v but the discount rate was appropriate. Some great holes - challenging with great views. Others were just ordinary with burned it spots.
I was placed in a threesome. But there was a threesome in the group ahead and the twosome in my time wanted to play together. Since they played quickly the day before, the starter allowed them and he sent me of as a single. I was able to play in 2:30 so can't complain about that although it took 5 holes to get a feel for the course.
The best holes were certainly 1, 17, and 18
Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 04/21/2019Good pace of play for 16 holes
Great day, great price. All good until t he 16 th hole. Then, the threesome ahead of us decided to have a long discussion at the green after they putted out. Waited 10 minutes for them to finish, and two of them took off presumable to find open holes to replay. The third continued and he could not have been any slower. He decided it was ok to hit multiple shots, and played 17 very slowly. When he got to the 18th tee, he dropped several balls and now was practicing chipping. Then, he hit two tee balls, and multiple other balls on the hole. After he putted out, he walked off the green, dropped some balls, and practiced chipping again. Meanwhile, we waited in the fairway until he decided he was gone. I'm assuming that he owns the course.
Ruffled Feathers Golf Club
Played On 6/26/2013Great evening for golf
Ruffled Feathers is one of the more challenging courses in the Chicago area. You finish a tough hole, and really need an easy hole. But there are no easy holes. The weather was ominous all day, but it cleared in the late afternoon. However, the course was soggy in places, especially near the front of several greens. These areas were being chewed up by large divots. Only negative aspect was that people weren't fixing their ball marks on the greens. Help the course out, fix your ballmarks. Played the front very quickly, ran into a slow foursome on 9, skipped 10. Played 11 and 12, skipped the next two holes. We were able to go back later and play the holes we skipped. Played in just over 3 hours.
Thank you U00000535684 for the EXCELLENT review! Thank you for choosing ANGC!
