I seem to get here once a year...and it’s always below 45*. Course was wet but it was a good walk. Course is short and has a pair of beautiful downhill par 3s and a pair of bomb or lay up down hill par 4s. Fun track. Used GolfNow and it seemed like that wasn’t appreciated...but who knows. Need to get here in the summer. Highly recommended.
Links at Lawsonia Golf Course

A must play in South Central Wisconsin. The length is very manageable...stay out of the long grass. Made a snaking 50 footer...which makes sense because you see a lot of those. Greens were in good shape. Massive. The front 9 has several old barns that really give you the links feel. The back has wonderful views of the country and course.

Play this course several times a year. Always seems to be in great shape even after a heavy rain. Friendly staff and I’ve rarely had an issue with pace of play. A great mix of parkland style and fescue filled links type holes.

Fun little course. The tips would be far too challenging for me so played it from the whites which made for a few easy holes if you can drive straight. Traps were gravely but other than that it was very enjoyable. A real mix of holes to keep it interesting and ask for a lot of shots.

I played this course trying to get one more round in before the really rough Wisconsin weather set in. Course was in good shape despite all of the October rain. Was a breather at times because the fescue that is normally over a foot tall had been mowed so I was able to rescue a few more shots than normal. I told myself it was a fair trade off for distance lost in 40* weather. Always a fun course with some risk reward action. The par fives are the real gem and a few dog legs keep it interesting. Par 3s could be more protected. Many holes can get difficult from the tips keeping it fun for all golfers.
Lake Wisconsin Country Club
Played On 10/14/2018Unique course with character.
Bogey golfer. Played from the white tees which made for an enjoyable round. Looked like things got pretty challenging on a few holes from the tips. Six par 3s could be a turn off for some but 4 of the 6 have a lot of character, be it the Wisconsin river or elevation changes. 40* and misting and I still had a blast. Would come back in a heart beat. Course was in good shape for all of the rain we've had.
Wyatt89, thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing The Golf Club at Camelot.
