They had trouble finding our Golfnow booking. They got us out and rolling nontheless.

The course was in pretty good shape.. A few holes are gimmicky but the layout is decent. The yardage ion the GPS unit in the cart was suspect at best. All in all, a decent experience. No bargain but the staff are excellent.

Awesome course! Really worth playing. Makes you wish you lived nearby.
I caught it after a rainy week near the end of the season. The zoysia grass on the fairways was starting to shut down for winter, making it dry, yet the fairways were wet. Odd combination...
Still...wow. A great course for the $$, or at any price. Interesting layout. Great greens. Awsome. Will really test you. Bring your fade or lefty draw. Sadly my draw wanted to be a hook... the course won.

Three issues... 1) They were out of range balls. I like to warm up and dial in... couldn't. 2) there is no GPS in cart. Yardage markers are few and questionable. 3) Too many twosomes. The pace of play could have been better.

Not a bad course. It's short. There's no getting around that. Even so, it takes some skill to score. No really absurd holes and nice greens.

The good - Tregaron is a GREAT layout. It's interesting and challenging, especially from the back tees. The greens putted well. Cart girl was awesome.

The bad - No practice range! The greens were like concrete. Nothing stopped. The traps were unplayable. We had to agree to pick up the ball, rake the crusty mess back into sand and then drop. The rough was US Open deep, which is fine on a private club or for a regional qualifier but...

The ugly - They pack em on. Twosomes aren't paired up and there are just too many groups playing. Add in the hackers hitting from the blues and that deep rough and you have a 5 hour and 10 minute round.

Staying home to do chores would have been less aggravating. Play it on a weekday.

A challenging but fair test. In nice shaped and and well laid out. Greens were in decent shape for early in the season. The back nine is more challenging and quite a bit tighter. Accurate yardages and the GPS in the cart worked fine. No complaints at all.

Real golfers fix their ball marks.

Endless blind shots to non existent landing areas. Half the holes are too short for any more than a 5 iron off the tee. Fairways slope toward the trees. One seemingly endless gimmick hole after another. I can't imagine how it would back up on a busy day. Awful.

Really nice layout, especially the back nine. Not in super condition but not bad. Challenging but fair.

I played Saturday with my wife. She's a beginner,, I'm a rusty infrequent player who has been as low as a 5 handicap.
The first impressions aren't great. The clubhouse is small and the course seems very open. The staff was excellent and while wide open and kind of back and forth, the front nine was in nice shape. The greens are small and firm. Anything without lots of bite won't hold them. I was never convinced of the yardages all day. I seemed to hit wedges long or short constantly.

The 10th hole is a complete joke and the 11th is nothing special then, awesome. Holes 12-17 are delightful. They're interesting, challenging and scenic.

All in all. It's well worth the money.

Nice blend of target holes and long holes. Excellent greens. Excellent condition. Great staff. A great challenge and very visually appealing. A winner.

We played on a stormy Sunday morning at 745. The good. It's an interesting layout and a fair but challenging test. The staff are great.
The not so good. No range. Ugh. Many of the greens had significant dead patches.
The puzzling. Despite a complete absence of a starter or any real plan as to combining twosomes we played in 4 hours, even with a few weather stoppages.
Worth a try.
