Great layout - combination of natural beauty and wildlife along with well designed holes. Long par fours, creeks or marsh carries on some approach shots, big mounds surrounding the greens with just enough water to keep you honest. They over-seeded this fall from tee to green, hopefully that doesn’t affect the greens which have historically been some of the best on the strand. Only negative about the course is that it tends to hold water and can play wet even days after it rains.

This course has become a regular in my rotation. Staff is always friendly and accommodating - and the course conditions are second to none! Greens are perfect, fairways luscious - and rough is nice and green, not bare like other courses. If the BBQ is open at the turn, get the spiral sausage!!!

Course was in perfect condition but the round took 5:23 minutes

first time playing. Had previously avoided because of negative word of mouth. Allegedly they have put a lot of money into improving conditions because the greens and fairways were some of the best i have EVER played on. Somewhat shorter course that makes up for it with smaller greens protected by deep bunkers. Great risk/reward finishing hole...

Great staff - above average conditions. Great food at the turn, but need a cart girl; No one out all day on a holiday weekend with a full tee sheet.

Front 9 is a more "standard" layout with perfect conditions. Back nine through the Quarry is something everyone should play at least once!
I was second group out so of course pace of play was great. Will definitely play again every time I am in Tucson.

2 stars might be drastic but the greens were absolutely absurd! I don't mind fast but when the greens have the most undulations in all of Tucson, and of all the courses I've ever played, and the greens are like glass, you can't put the pin placements 18 inches from the top of of a peaked ridge. 18 holes of golf with MAYBE 2-3 acceptable pin placements.
Staff was great! Conditions tee-to-green above average. But very little variety. It was like playing the same holes over and over.

Have played here for years but has gone downhill last few years. Conditions have dwindled to that of a standard muni and front desk guy acts like he is doing you a favor. There are many other courses nearby that are in better shape and appreciative of your business.

... The best public course on Long Island. Conditions are always near perfect with picturesque holes. staff is always friendly and accommodating.
