Hobbs Hole Golf Course
Played On 06/19/2016Father's Day
The course was in great condition and the weather couldn't have been better. There was a Father/Son tournament that went out in front of us but they kept moving along at a good pace.
There were five sets of tees that let any player have a distance off the tee that is comfortable and still make the holes difficult but not overly challenging.
Greens were a bit firm and not very receptive but once we adjusted for that it made the round much more enjoyable.
Aquia Harbour Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/08/2016You Get What You Pay For
The best part of this round may have been the cheese steak from 'The Clubhouse' for lunch. Most of the time you couldn't tell if you were in the rough or the fairway and the greens were like shag carpet. Wasn't busy at all which is probably telling since it is owned by the home-owners association.
Rose Hill Golf Club
Played On 09/08/2015Value course with value conditions
The course was in rough shape. Not sure if the people that maintain it know how to set the deck height on their mowers as there were many areas that were shaved bare and other areas of the fairway that you could have used as rough. Course was wet and there was no roll on the fairways. Greens were receptive but were very slow. Couldn't hit the ball hard enough to get enough speed. On one hole the ball actually slowed down going down a hill. If you are looking for a value course where you don't have to spend a lot of money this is the course for you. If you want a course with high quality upkeep than keep looking.
Eagle's Pointe Golf Club
Played On 09/07/2015Wet and Soft but Fair
The course was wet and soft with little to no roll but the greens were very receptive. The course was set up shorter than usual to account for this. Other than a few short rain showers throughout the round the weather was great. The course is set among a bunch of trees so very little breeze or wind affects your shots.
