Meadow Oaks Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/30/2021No Ranger monitoring play.
We were a foursome playing at recommended pace of play behind two other foursomes in front of our group. On the 11th hole a twosome which came up behind us about three holes prior decided to skip the 11th hole and went past us without asking and proceeded to the 12th tee. We waited on the 12th tee to play and due to us now being delayed to play, a threesome came upon us from behind and also decided to skip past us on the 13th hole and proceeded to the 14th tee where they waited to tee off. Upon finally finishing the 14th hole we proceeded to the Par 3 15th tee. Both groups that had recently passed us, without asking, were still waiting on the tee for the second foursome, originally in front of us to finish playing the hole. 2 players in our group were so irritated they quit playing and headed to the clubhouse where they lodged a complaint in the pro shop. On the 16th green we saw a ranger coming down the 17th fairway where he stopped and talked to the twosome that had passed us and proceeded to the 17th tee where he spoke with the threesome that had also passed us. He then approached us and said someone had complained about groups passing other groups without asking. We told him the whole story and he stated the two groups had admitted passing but both said they had asked and received permission from us to do so. We said that was not true, no one had asked anything and they just did what they wanted. He apologized several times for their behavior and stated what they did was strictly against the course’s playing rules and etiquette. If that was true we felt he should have removed them from the course and put us in proper and original position. That did not happen, and I believe any course’s best interest lies in supporting foursome groups and not tolerating rogue twosome or threesome groups causing chaos and major backups on the course due to their impatience.
Butler's Golf Course - Woodside Course
Played On 10/01/2020Slow Play
The course conditions were good - tee boxes and fairways well maintained. The greens are in good shape but slow to putt. The largest negative was pace of play for a round starting mid day. There were back to back groups of fivesomes a few groups ahead of us. They played incredibly slow and had the entire golf course backed up all afternoon. There was no starter to monitor this from the beginning and no rover to check on progress of play. Very frustrating to be behind that all day!
Quail Hollow Golf Course
Played On 11/06/2017Love Quail Hollow, especially the Staff
We are snowbirds that have played the course frequently over the past three years. It quickly became our favorite course, nice fair layout, staff is super friendly, and grounds people are always working hard to maintain and improve the course. We knew the course was on track to be closed to make way for additional housing but were lead to believe that wasn't going to happen until spring. However the course no longer has tee times on Golf Now and when you call the course no one answers the phone. We are assuming they have unexpectedly closed earlier than anticipated. Hoping that is not the case, but if it is we will truly miss Quail Hollow and the super friendly staff - Thanks Quail Hollow for all the memories and good times!
Par Three at Magnolia Valley Golf Club
Played On 10/19/2013Course needs a lot of work.
Course was not busy at all. Good place for beginners. Many holes are narrow especially on front nine.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
