My wife and I played here based on the reviews. While I rate the greens and tees as excellent, the fairways were beat up and shabby. The layout has a few short par 4 holes that slowed down play - 5+ hour round. Unfortunately, and not the courses fault, the foresome in front of us were playing the back tees and they had no business doing it. Every hole one or two of the group barely landed 50 yards from the tees. Brutal!

I have not played Farmstead in at least 15 years and was very happy with the quality of play. The course is well maintained and the bunkers were excellent - they were problematic years ago when I played here. Greens were recently aerated and were bumpy and a bit slower. Some tee boxes were a bit ragged and there was some water damage on a couple of fairways. Overall an enjoyable round. Farmstead is back on my list of courses to play.

The course is an old style layout with smaller greens and fairways. Some of the tee boxes were not in good shape , fairways were very good and the greens were fast but a bit spotty on some of them. We played in 4;20 so the pace was good. There is nothing special about the course, but this was our first round of the season and it was good for that. Not a lot of bunkers in the fairways, and greens usually had two bunkers on each side.
