Links of Lake Bernadette
Played On 10/28/2012The course and greens played very wet due to overwatering.
They may have recently overseeded, but made no mention of this to us. They had overwatered to the point the fairways had no roll, and the greens were too soft to be very playable. The upside was that we played at a very low green fee, but most of the round was wasted playing out of unhappy lies.
Plantation Palms Golf Club
Played On 10/22/2012This course is in very bad shape.
Played this course based on its reputation as being a premier course. There were invasive grasses/weeds in every fairway, on every green and every tee. Every green had dozens of unrepaired (impossible to miss) pitch marks, and most of the bunkers were unraked. At least five pins were not seated properly in the cup, resulting in damage to the edge of the hole. Overall, we were very unhappy with the course conditions.
Rolling Oaks at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 9/22/2012The course was in great shape, the greens were rolling true and it was playable for my wife.
I thought the course was very well marked for yardages. Most of the holes play "open front" which is a big help for my wife when she plays. We had a very enjoyable round, and the price was right through Golf Now. We weren't out of the parking lot and my wife was already talking about coming back. My advice...swallow your pride and play from the appropriate tee boxes. You will have a much better time.
Silverado Golf & Country Club
Played On 2/10/2012Greens in need of rolling and cutting.
Not the best greens. They were too long, and had quite a few bumps in them, so they were very slow and not rolling true. Pace of play was OK for a Sunday afternoon at 4 1/4 hours, but our foursome was being pushed by a threesome followed by four twosomes. It seems like there are regulars here who like to paly in 3 hours, so we did not feel particularly welcome. The best feature of this course is it is cheap to play, so if you just want to get out and hit the ball this is a good place to go.
