Embarrassing

Picture says it all. What a joke! Cowboys organization should be embarrassed to charge $207 for this…..

One of the Best

Sorry to hear this course is for sale. It is definitely the best track with the best conditions in the DC/MD/VA area. Greens are several weeks from aeration, so rolling true. Maybe another week or two from being perfect. Hopefully whoever buys the course puts the same premium on course conditions the folks at Bulle have for so many years. Staff are very professional, marshals actually marshal the course - very rare. Frequent player deal is the way to go. Simple, smart program. Big fairways, premium on second shot and short game. Highly recommend this course.

What a rip off!

No water in the ball washers. Hitting off matts. Matts without tees. One cart girl for 2 courses. And none of that is as important as course conditions. I don't mind paying a top rate if the course delivers top conditions. None of those other issues would've mattered had the course been in great shape. But it sucked. It's a disgrace to the game of golf that courses like this one get away with charging $80 to play 3 days after aerating the course. What miserable conditions. I don't care that it's a "muni" course. NJ county courses in general are not very good. They are geared towards residents who get great rates to play. As a result, courses are over played with little concern for guests without county cards. Avoid this course. It's an absolute dog track.

We're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your round with us. Unfortunately, a prolonged winter will adversely affect conditions. However, we expect that our Spring and Summer conditions will be excellent, as usual. We hope you'll come back out and enjoy all that our course has to offer.

Avoid Until Spring

Playing late January, really can't expect too much. But even at the exceptionally reduced rate of $59, Whiskey Creek did not deliver. The course was busy, but no sign of a marshal and we waited nearly every hole for a painstakingly slow foursome that had zero sense of urgency and no clue on how to keep pace. My low review is due only in part to slow pace of play. Course conditions are terrible. Greens are poorly top dressed with heavy patches of sand. Bunkers are undergoing maintenance, again to be expected in January, but no rakes to be found and no indication or communication on whether or not the bunkers are ground under repair. In addition, the driving range is closed for the winter. Mind you, this course is typically matts only. Very rarely is hitting off grass permitted. The explanation given was the winter destroys the matts. A poor excuse from a course that charges $110 in season. I've been playing this course since it opened, and my frequency of play goes down every year because the value just isn't there. Avoid Whiskey Creek for now, wait until it's in better shape, then try to find a discounted rate and play on a week day. Less likely to be disappointed if you take this advice.

Not Consistent Value

I've played this course many times and the layout is great but it's consistently overpriced for what they deliver. May be because it is a county course, but $80 in December? Ridiculous. Greens ok, but rough very chewed up, especially around greens. For $80 need some amenities. No water on course, no beverage cart - not a big deal, but don't charge premium rate if your not going to deliver a premium product. Some guys that work there are great, others are rude and have no clue about customer service. Act like they are doing you a favor letting you play there. Discounts on this course hard to find but my suggestion is play the course if you don't have to pay full rate.
