nice course to go during the week, just 20 mins drive from notting hill, the nicest course close to the city

Of all the courses I tried within 20/30 mins drive from notting hill this is the best so far. It’s a proper members club, with nice facilities and all the golf rules applied. On paper the course seemed easy but it’s not. I played the whites and the par 4s are quite long and generally most of the holes are up or down a hill. Long and tiring to walk it, next time I’ll get a buggy! Can’t wait to go back!

Forget about Chiswick. If you want to practice golf and live in west London, this is where you want to go. Great range, great pro shop, great pros. But the point is that there are 9 real holes. The fairways are narrow and challenging, the 4s and 5s drivable, the elevation changes and the water everywhere make it quite difficult. It’s 3000 yards and you go around it in an hour and a half. It’s the best place to practice in London. Half hour at the range and then a quick 9 holes. For me was the best find ever!

This course did not have any ‘dramatic’ scenery. It’s good because it’s just half hour from central london but it’s not to die for or a must see one. It did the job though. So to be fair I may go again but I’m not dyeing to go back. The indications to the holes were really poor! Couldn’t find my way around it. Really really few signs and the ones available were confusing ones!
